I've kinda just been posting these out into the void with no reception or feedback from anyone. I'd love to find a mutual artist friend or something who I could share with more regularly and get a second opinion about things.

you should probably frame them in panels for better readability
>>
>>7978293
Leaving them frameless was like a stylized choice or something. I am worried about readability, though I'm more concerned with bubble placement than paneling. Did you have a hard time following any of the story beats?
>>
>>7978296
not really hard to follow but they look a bit strange without them

^^ thanks, I've been forcing myself to do them every day so there's not always a really solid punchline. Though simply telling jokes isn't all I'm trying to do. I like telling short stories and just strange awkward encounters as well. I guess I have a strange sense of humor

i truly don't get this one
>>
>>7982006
I usually don't have a punchline in mind when I start drawing these, only a vague notion of a premise. And I just draw things that make me laugh in the moment. Someone just suddenly saying "Get your fucking hands off me" was funny to me. I'm not that smart or anything, if you can't figure out the joke there probably wasn't one.

Why do cops always just take a woman's word as gospel? Shouldn't they look for proof? You know signs of forced penetration, violence, witnesses and etc,

Investigating is still part of their job. Just believing someone's accusations is retarded. You need to find clues, to see if anything supports their claim.
Imagine your neighbor just accusing you of burglary and the cops blindly believes him. The cops then justify arresting you by saying
>You are poor and he is rich. Poor people tend to commit more crime than rich people. So I think we can trust him.

I've completely lost the will to draw, again. The urge is still there, and it's still the only thing that feels worth doing. But I can't convince myself to draw anything. It's making me really depressed, kinda suicidal. Does anyone else ever feel this way?

Yeah, daily comics are harder than people think. I assume you just have to accept that some days you're just going to have to put out a shit comic and be able to let it go.
>>
>>7998187
Yes, I basically got overwhelmed immediately. I managed to keep up with it for 11 days, but then I realized I'd just produced 11 shit comics. So now it's more of a "whenever I feel like it" comic. I figure if I'm committed to it, I'll end up churning out enough decent art. There's really no reason to force myself to do it every single day. Although there's something to be said about the "I was in a rush so here's a random piece of shit with no punchline" vibe that you can get when you put yourself in a corner like that.

Honestly what changed my mind about the whole thing was when I started actually flipping through a few newspaper strips (which I'm trying to imitate) and realized 99% of them were forgettable and unfunny.

I swear, I spend more time analyzing my own work than I do actually working. I know that nobody else on earth is going to spend as much time staring at these panels as me, so certain particular imperfections that I obsess over are honestly irrelevant. Especially when the piece as a whole isn't even that good to begin with. The whole thing is so rough and amateurish, which I'm not saying to diminish myself-- it's (almost) a purposeful feature and charming aspect of this comic for me. But the fact that it is so simplistic means that I want it to be as good as it can be. As clean and pleasing to look at as I can achieve. Which I felt like this strip was nearly there. Until I drew the two Main Characters in the 1st panel, next to the car.

I was having a hard time getting them the correct size in relation to the car, which I had already drawn and really didn't want to redraw. It was kind of a pain in the ass for me. Even to that effect I don't think I succeeded, but it's as close as I could get it. Except their bodies turned out so fuzzy and pixelated. It's because the brush I used was so thick, compared to how small they needed to be on the page. But if it had been any smaller, their outlines would have become too thin and almost grey compared to the rest of the panel.

Am I thinking about this too much? I feel like I have no artistic sense of mind.

>Am I thinking about this too much? I feel like I have no artistic sense of mind.
Yes, I read it earlier and just thought, "heh, good punchline today. This is a good place to test out, "can I get away with not drawing the interior of the car". Turns out you can.

Even if you're white, your art his Asian in heart. The humor is very East Asian, similar to Mingu (Korean artist who also started off on 4chan).
