Does my art have soul? I want a childlike art style any tips?

Any particular style can be practiced authentically. But the really key idea is that being authentic is difficult work; it’s something you can only achieve at the end, not at the beginning. There is no such thing as a purely immediate and mystical outpouring of emotions, or a pure experience of childlike innocence, that will let you skip all the hard work. You have to put in the time and effort no matter what.

A friend in the same art class as me in high school once annoyed the teacher by making that day's project an actual child drawing. Crayon on construction paper, stick figures with trees looking like green lollipops with round apples, a blue oval for a pond and stretched Ms for birds. And he signed it "Mrs Brando's 4th period class":D
