Why am I getting so tripped up by using this image as a study?I thought okay, good range of values, not too much going on. Yet I've spent several hours looking at Barrett's face, trying construction and just getting completely flummoxed. Is this typical /beg/ shit? Is it just a lot harder than I first thought? What's wrong with me, bros?I did a portrait of Miller the other day after that one study thread, and while when I went to paint it my values were pretty off, the actual representation of form was decently accurate to the source. Yet it's like I'm looking at this and just keep putting out dogshit you'd expect a 13 year old to draw. Why is this busting my balls so goddamn much?
>>7983154The lighting is way too dark especially for a /beg/. Just use one that's brighter where all the details are easier to see
Newbeggot here. What does /beg/ mean?

>>7983557Oh, it means beginner. Took me way too long to figure out.
