>"if only I didn't have [X distraction] in my life, then surely I would draw way more">stop engaging in [X distraction]>still don't fucking drawthe curse is eternal
oh my god you bitch just DRAW
>>7983950Please be kind. I’m psychologically struggling right now.
>>7983928>>7983971There's a lot of advice online as to how you can do things consistently, and get better, and focus harder, blah blah etc, but I think most of it is bullshit aside from one thing:Make a habit of drawing. What I mean by that is; block out a set amount of time every day (6am-8am or something idk) and make sure you draw every day at that time. When you subconsciously come to expect you will draw every day from 6am-8am, putting in the effort will got a lot easier. And making hard things easier is the only way to actually do them. You'll know you have succeeded when you wake up one day, eat your breakfast, brush your teeth, put on your clothes, whatever, and then start drawing without ever consciously thinking "time to draw".
I just draw in the middle of the class now
the heatwave was a good excuse. i got sick right after because i still slept with an open window, so the cycle continues. on another note, cutting down distractions works as long as you actively engage and schedule set amounts of drawing time. you have to force yourself like a strict teacher.
