Why is the world of online art so unfair?
man i hate social media trannies
>>7984827First worlders get attentionUs thirdies don't
>>7984827Tablets work on smartphones as well, and they only cost about $50 or so for the cheaper options (that still work on mobile, I believe). So there is no excuse for this stupidity. Want me to believe that you can't afford to buy a tablet, whilst drawing on your $1000 dollar phone? Fuck off.Better yet, go trad, and just take a photo of your drawing.
>I just work hard and post my art why does nobody give a shitit's a social media platform, retard, go talk to people. Your feed should be something like 30% art at most, just have a link to your Deviantart if you're worried people just want to see your work and not your opinions.
>>7984827The thing in OP pic never happens though? There’s definitely a correlation between quality/effort and attention, even if it’s not 100% perfect
Whole life is unfair. It's mostly just about luck. If you don't have luck then chances are high you will just fall into depression and everythign will just become gradually worse.
>>7984842>The thing in OP pic never happens though? There’s definitely a correlation between quality/effort and attention, even if it’s not 100% perfectI wouldn't say it never happens - I often hear artists lament that pieces they spent ages on, putting a lot of thought into, get barely half the likes of their shitposts and sketches. So clearly it can happen, though it appears mostly undesirable when it does.Though I haven't heard anyone whinging about their digital finger paintings not getting as much attention as other artists.
There's no space for the artist that doesn't have a sense for business.
>>7984827>draw silly doodle>makes lots of numbers>delete it because i started getting followed and spammed by bots that would inevitably get me shadowbanned or pushed into bot algorithms and feeds>delete twitter because imaginary numbers aren't worth shit
>>7984827>the so called privileged artist with advanced tools, makes a bad sketch, and somehow farms likes>the other one does a better artwork, yes has no likesUseless thread about a strawman argument
>>7984827Dunno, why don't you ask this boy
>>7984827smartphone and thimb is fucking RETARDED there is a penical and paper everywhere!
Where does the AI prompter fit into this?
>>7984827It's almost like life is a popularity contest and networking matters.
>>7984904Wasting twice the amount of money as a high end tablet on prompt tokens and bot followers to get blocked by all artists and all non-grifter users
>>7984827bottom person doesn't know how to read the market simple as. The trap all fartists fall into is believing that skill alone will get you the likes and recognition. Naive at best, retarded at worst.
>>7984827If you're using a thumb to draw and can't afford a proper tablet in 2026 you're 100% underage and need to get off X to begin with.
>>7984914And also wasting time by having to say 'gm' under every other prompters' post, for some fucking reason. Honestly, the biggest giveaway that someone is a proompter, is the amount of gm's under the post.
>>7984904they're dominating social media because they can shit out finished artwork consistently which feeds the algorithmif you have old finished art you haven't posted yet, start posting it daily at a specific time
A Parable for y'all...I used to be into Second Life, an avatar chat platform where the players created all of the ingame assets, you could add scripts to make them programed and functional, and then you can sell what you've made with infinite copies, then sell the game cash for real world cash. I made animated paintings and doodads, taking apart the gifs I found and making them grids of frames as a custom texture, then employ a script to display it in successive sections, making the animations. But my real product was Romance. All sorts of clubs in Second Life. All places built by dedicated artists working in this interesting new mediums. Conjure a block, morph it and texture it, and they can be anything you imagine. So I made clubs, with magical ambiance and commercial free New Age music. You can bring a date there and dance, meditate, or cuddle, and I stuck a freebie script for a primitive chat bot into a giant rabbit sculpture so people could talk and hang out. But where did people hang out the most out?Next door to me, at a tiny simple park with a very short stream and a game standard tree and a few bushes.Mediocrity attracts Mediocrity, apparently.
>>7984921What's gm? Good morning?
>>7984914Tokens? I thought a lot of gens were done locally>get blocked by all artists and all non-grifter usersDoesn't matter when they're still making patreonbucks somehow
>>7984937In Indian culture, it is customary to say Good Morning to all of your contacts.
>>7984827>owns a smartphoneYou spoiled first world faggot. Try making it with pic related while barely getting by as a rice farmer. >what are you typing this on?I spent a month's wage at the nearest internet cafe 30 kilometers from home.
>>7984933>i used to be into second lifeain't reading any further
>>7984827Idea what it is paid for not hard work. Always will be always was. People don't understand that hard work doesn't equal reward. Good idea -> Work -> usually means reward even that is not guaranteed.
>>7984827>labor theory of valueEven Marx knows it doesn't apply to art, and that nigga was retarded
>>7984978Art is art.
>>7985010You were into second life, your opinion of anything is worth less than furries.
>>7985032>>7984978Nta. Why do some anons have this immense hatred of random shit like second life? You need to be somewhat familiar with it to hate it this much. What's the story behind it?
>>7985035imagine vr chat but way more cringe
>>7985035Basically, anyone who is into SL is a huge insufferable faggot, almost worse than furries, mlpfags, lolishitters and trannies combined. You take modern gacha gooners + furries + stereotypical socially inept nerd losers, add roleplaying autism and lack of self-awareness, put it into a fat narcissist boomer body; you get the average SL user.Once they think they are safe in spamming their SL vomit, they will attract more of their kin making any thread, general or site completely unusable for anything non SL related, exactly the same story as to why everyone who isn't a furry despises furries. When you see SL, it is your duty to tell em to kill themselves.
>>7985054I'm an internet addict but I never run into these kinds of problems. Is this a deviantart thing or something?
>>7984827Yeah this artist fucking sucks. I could do that in one minute.
>>7985140prove it
>>7984914>tokensEven lower end machines can generate images easily now even if it takes a bit longer. This isn't 2020 anymore
>>7984827>joined last month>furry, trendhopping, "this totally happened" comicsWhat were they expecting just overnight 100k followers?
>>7984827History repeats.>>7985200There must be like a specific archetype of artist at this point that genuinely does not understand that widespread online engagement with art requires an artist to have business sense, make connections, resonate with the cultural zeitgeist, and pray that they get lucky and that the algorithm chooses them.
>>7985200Of course likes and followers are great, but that guy seems to be way too obsessed with it.
>>7985209>History repeatsYour pic shows a different scenario from OP pic. OP one has never happened.
>>7985200Just say you are a girl and draw nsfw/horny art of your stylized selfIt's that easy
>>7984827Unironically me, same setup and everything. My stupid low effort lewd doodles get thousands of likes for some reason, even though I'm fine with the ones that barely get a hundred. Why are numbers so important for these people.
>>7984914>>7984921The cope from luddites is so rich. You both complain AI doesn't get followers but it also takes your jobs? Fuck off.
>>7985278hey buddy this is the art board, the shilling board is three links down >>>/g/
>>7985278>picI was actually confused and impressed by how real it looked, before I found out about the twist. I still think it's fine that people get mad at it as a matter of principle, even if they're technically wrong. Fuck AI shills. >You both complain AI doesn't get followers but it also takes your jobs? It's either a waste of energy and resources or it takes our jobs. There's no good possible outcome.
>>7984914What about the artists stealthily using AI?
>>7985200The pity card is arguably one of the most powerful cards you can play.People on tiktok make a living of selling dropshipped items by using it.Using it for art is even easier, since no one has to buy anything
>>7985292Hey man, /g/ is that way, when are you going to leave? LolDo I need to draw you getting raped?
>>7984827>smartphone artistsAh, broke college and highschool kids. Fuck off you're not entitled to recognition
>>7985278good morning
reasonable people have social media fatigue
>>7984827>thinking digital art is worth anything>tryhard artist's example looks like complete shit>tryhard artist is crying for help whilst privilege artist, whatever that means, is enthusiastic and proud of his creationfailure of a meme
>>7985677Saaaaarooss
>>7984827>not porn = 15 likes (if it's good)>porn = 1935814357245423572759723597235236597135017431025436175436104371243897210936215391624309127431274323513123412346123501273012743562109354612437124391265397126743918739716450239745238456648712643129564185476412089467124387215-873 likessimple as
>>7985209he's right though, brown boy.
>>7985200I don't think this cute and valid woman needs to be doxxed just because you don't completely agree with furry porn
>>7984827why would the top artist's doodles look so much better despite the lack of time investment?surely it couldnt be the top of the line tools behind him that mayhaps spedup his processno when has investing money in your skills ever helped anyone in achieving their goals, all the crabs told me tools dont matter, now look at this this one guy from /ic/ who got famous drawing anime boobs on toilet seats or some shit
>>7985784Do you retards no longer know what doxxed means? You could just image search the op image and would get the account first result. It's not like their home adress
>>7985200>Connected via Southeast Asia Android AppChecks out
>>7985784you're rightwe, the epic anonymoose, should find this woman (tranny) irl and minecraft """"her""""also gut xher like a fishmaci am feeling so doxxed rite now, sisters
>>7984827Bitch thinks the stats under a post reflect her level as an artist. You don’t have to be a great artist to get a lot of likes - just post a picture of your ass. Artists of the old days gained recognition after their deaths because they devoted their entire lives to art. These guys gain recognition because they put effort into promoting their accounts. The OP is such an retard that he doesn’t understand how the media works. But that’s not all - after mf TWITTER, he dragged himself over to complain in this acid dump
>>7985032I'm part of its history, kinda sorta...https://youtu.be/Yiy_FS7AoJ8?is=0twv_oGHEIG59MseIt's the Burning Man event at Second Life, Burning Life , where I was given a place to build an art installation on, and asked to make an archway for decoration. I had found the eye gif months ago but had no use for its animation texture until then, and I built one side of it and made an exact copy of it with the eye in the center, and there it is in the thumbnail. The furries keep to themselves, understandably. And the avatars they craft and sell to each other are expert in construction and beautiful, true passion projects. And you may hate the genre, but it is a lucrative market and money enough for a real world living can be produced from Second Life wares. My wares were Romance, and the fact that my Creativity could be expressed in strange new ways and shared with the whole world, or at least those who made it inworld.
>sl autist keeps goingtold you they're faggots
>>7986148I dont read much about the sl autist but here I brought you a couch
>>7986144>My wares were Romance, and the fact that my Creativity could be expressed in strange new ways and shared with the whole world, or at least those who made it inworld.clocked. you a crazy nigga
