if I actually want to get popular do I have to draw hot girls?I've been drawing what I want for awhile and I've improved but what's never gotten better is my social media standing, I'm still getting under 10 likes after over a year of posting art.I do draw girls and lewds, but I honestly haven't posted them anywhere but 4chan because well, I guess maybe I'm ashamed of that part of myself a bit. But I also have a non-art channel with almost 140k subs andd the last thing I want is someone coming from that channel and seeing that kind of art.So like, do any of you have experience with this, would drawing girls make me more popular? Or am I just playing the social media game wrong?
>if I actually want to get popular do I have to draw hot girls?Yes. Next.

>>7985187I use the same handle across every platform. This is partially why I'm considering starting a new account just to post more risque art.
>>7985184Hot girls have the most universal appeal out of any subject matter yes. If you want to build an audience quickly then it's basically a requirement. You can also lean hard into being gay/furry/whatever and pander to those communities instead. But the point is there has to be some sort of implicit sexual edge to your work, even if it's a very mild one. And attractive women is the best way to accomplish that. You're not going to get big on social media by doing landscapes and still lifes.
