I am used to a very old version of Photoshop, and my requirements are to be as close to this as possible.

affinity unfortunately sucks for drawing. despite this it has pigment mixing for some reason... even the photo manipulation app got it. i can't say for sure how canva will treat affinity and serif, but it sucks i can't ask for an illustration focused affinity app from serif anymore... i don't know how much canva would fuck with it. there aren't much illustrator and indesign competitors, there are a LOT of raster drawing app competition.
