Why isn't this style of drawing more common? It's very efficient yet nice to look at.
>>7987188this just looks bad man. if a western artist drew this you guys would tear him to shreds
>>7987224Stan Sakai is a Western artist lol. Usagi is one of the most successful creator-owned comics in the West.
I appreciate the minimalist way Stan Saki conveys a scene. Getting the most from each line is a skill unto itself.
>>7987224Looks better than most "professional" comics. Also Stan IS a western artist. You don't even know what you're talking about lmao.
>>7987188Looks like Gabe's art
>>7987224It is Western art, but I wouldn't call it bad. There's a reason it's one of the most popular comic in America.>>7987188One thing I liked a lot about this artist was his constant encouragement for drawing. He's essentially a success story of "just draw"
>>7987188>Why isn't this style of drawing more common? It's very efficientI been learning cartoony art styles like your picrel recently because I have no patience for realistic art, or even semi realistic, and I just don`t have the talent for it, I`m a talentless hack that no matter how much I practice, I barely improve.
>>7987954Try this:https://youtu.be/1OSWR7xiQLk?is=FVREHsJW82Mv0gC9Repeat until you get something that you want to draw again. Then drae it again. Figure it out, build it conceive it then polish it,embellish it and set it aside for the next.Build something that YOU want to know about, and others will be curious about what you have witnessed and put to paper.
