How many years would it take for me to draw kino like this
>>
t. 25yo permabeg
>>
>>7987399
2-3
>>
>>7987399
6 months starting from /beg/ if you IQ is above 105
>>
>>7987399
I could draw it by copying this exact picture but I couldn't come up with it. Where would you even find a photo of a woman making this pose wearing glasses? And then how would you decide to stop drawing at the shoulder and frame the picture with her hair? theres hundreds of decisions here that just work but any decision I make is wrong and shit. All I can do is copy.
>>
>>7987422
stop copying a few things and look at many things instead
>>
>>7987399
Decades.
The mere fact that you didn't provide any of your art for us to assess your skill level, is a sign of a low intelligence individual. You need at least normal intelligence in order to progress at a decent speed.
Sorry buddy.
>>
A year to get 80% there and another five years to get to 100%. This artist has great composition, line confidence, and shape language. Her hand's subtle distortions of her face take a lot of skill.
>>
>>7987477
needless volatility on 4chan has always interested me, specifically on this board particular.
>>
>>7987507
Honest non sugar coated opinion =/= needless volatility.
In fact I would argue that a statement like that is needed in order for OP to realise how stupid he is.
>>
>>7987399
Let me give you a quick reality check, if you're asking how long to get to a certain level, you're already losing. As someone who's been actively trying to improve my art and gotten to somewhat of a decent level. There is no way I could have predicted how long it would have taken me to get to where I'm at.

So you need to understand something.

Speed of learning art = Talent + Effectiveness of Practice.

This means if you want to improve at art fast > you need natural talent.

But talent is only required for SPEED, not potential. LITERALLY ANYONE, can get to basically a professional level as long as you study effectively and put in the time.

However, there is no way ANY PERSON can tell you how fast you can improve, because it literally depends on you, and how you understand / think about things.

ART is not like the gym, you can't just keep improving if you keep spamming gesture drawings and anatomy studies, and think you can "grind" your way to the top.

Unfortunately, the less talented you are,
the more you're going to have to actively think about the problems you're facing.

So instead of thinking about how fast to get to a certain level, you should think about what your overall goal with art is and start practicing that. In this case, you have this example, which is a great inspiration.
So now it's time to start with something like head drawing and begin your journey.

Talent is for both speed and potential
>>
>>7987678
It depends on how much potential we're talking about. I think anyone can get to a professional level regardless of your talent.

However, to reach someone like Kim Jung Gi's level? A person who could draw complex perspectives, dynamic poses, and a vast range of subjects from their head AND with no guidelines. Yeah, you're going to need talent for that.

But it's pointless to get into a hypothetical of your potential. If you practice, you're not actively thinking about how much potential you have. This mindset is only present in beginners and people who don't practice.

4channers still unable to comprehend that etiquette and dishonest are not one in the same.
>>
>>7987418
This is pretty much the answer.
>>
>>7987399
About one year of consistent drawing.
>>
>>7987422
>draw some post you find appealing
>make it a woman and add glasses
Creativity is kinda just combining things.
>>
>>7987399
This isn’t all that technically impressive, forms within a scene/perspective would require much more in depth understanding of fundies, but flat crap like this is deceptively difficult for begs too, also, if you have to ask…
>>
>>7987399
less than a year
>>
>>7987422
You draw lots of faces and you erase and fix the shit you think is ugly. Over time you start naturally applying what you think is appealing without even thinking about it. So all those decisions you're thinking of are sorta decided over months/years.
>>
>everyone saying one year
>im 3 years in and still can't do anything this level on my own
man i fucking hate myself
>>
>>7987399
if you mean that style of portrait exactly, a couple months with tracing, if you mean general skills that would make something like that second nature a year or 2
>>
>>7987880
Did you miss the
>>7987418
>if your IQ is above 105
part?
>>
>>7987880
For discussion? may we see your most recent work? its all anonymous its not like anyone will know, and I'm curious what point you are at
>>

>>7987895
ive been in a pretty bad slump the past few months so i've barely drawn, which definitely isn't helping my lack of growth
>>
>>7987897
this is actually not bad anon. I can't find any faults I'd call out that don't have to do with the anime art style, you are on the right track! You can absolutely make good progress from there by studying other artists you like and applying their techniques to your work
>>
>>7987897
this is absolute dogshit, just stop drawing. you will never be an artist.
>>
>>7987880
I think I am double than that, and still a beginner.

>>7987897
Damn... I am far from this...
>>
>>7987897
the forms are better than op so either you are baiting or you just have the art equivalent of body dysmorphia. the rendering is about the same just with different tools used.
>>
>>7987949
the op pic is literally from a professional published manga, it's factually wrong to say mine is better in any way
>>
>>7987958
so? if picasso took a shit on a canvas would it be better just because he had more prestige? in the art world sure, but on a technical level, no
>>
>>7987958
just because its published doesn't mean its well done on a technical level
>>
>>7987949
>the forms are better
So what? The OP has way better appeal. Better style.
>>
>>7988016
if you can determine forms, appeal will follow. form is the majority of the work. ultimately what matters, as you pointed out, is that it looks good, but that anon was saying that he is nowhere near that level when his fundies are ok, so really he is closer than he thinks, read the context in the thread.
>>
>>7987897
If this is /beg/ you guys should create a new category called /baby/ for us chicken scribble guys.
>>
>>7987771
Normies still unable to comprehend that eitquette is what is truly needless around here.
>>
>>7987825
Alright man how is this flat? Is it the anime nose?
>>
teenage girls can draw like this
>>
>>7987399
>tranime portrait in empty void
about a week
>>
>>7988388
sleeve, thats not really an anime nose either
