I can't draw at work. Is there anything I could use Anki for to be productive towards art? For example, flashcards to build a visual memory library of perspective or anatomy or something? Has anyone done anything like this?
>>7987609if you can use a phone, you can drawbut anyway looking intensely at a piece of art you like is beneficial and can be done during a short break
>>7987609I draw mid class on my phone
>>7987609This is like asking if doing anki flashcards on how to play basketball would help you become lebron james... you learn by doing
>>7987674I figure you could do about 5% of that with flashcards. strategy, game rules, the muscles you use and jargon do need to be learnt right? its not getting you near the goal but forward is forward if real doing is not an option
>>7987609If you can’t physically draw I think the next best thing would be to just look at references and do mental “studies” where you just scrutinize it closely and break it down and try to extract whatever information you can from it (whether that be related to anatomy, color, whatever). Or watch/read art videos/books. But I can’t think of any uses for Anki flashcards per se.
>>7987609some dude uses it to schedule his 1 hr daily practicehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_j3BunQ6AQthe results are mixed
>>7987704is this the science based learning guy or is this another retardthere's so many of these minmaxing ngmis it's hard to keep track
>>7987609You can use it for memorizing proportions.
>>7987609You can't take paper notebook and pencil to draw ?
>>7987715that's the guyhe's been at it for 800+ hours last I checked
>>7987740I think he means that he can't draw on company time.:D
>>7987609i guess you could make flashcards for theoretical things. like the station point is a 45 degree reference for a downward inclining line in one point perspective.
>>7987746the audacity to come back with a video titled 800 hours after 2 years and people are still licking his asshole
