Start posting on Twitter, Pixiv, Newgrounds and all that RIGHT NOW. Building an audience can take years.Try to get onto VGen if you can. You'll have to compete with scammers and people charging very low prices on their front page.
I've heard there are discord servers for this sort of thing. I've obviously never been invited because I don't draw but I'm sure if you ask around you should be able to find some.

Maybe have a stall with some portfolio pieces and a sign with prices (and check if you need to do paperwork first)
>>7992170I don't think you're meant to live on comms alone these days, even at white man prices like 300$ a pop you'd need to draw until your fingers fall off to make a living.It's not so much Bumjeet shitting up the market as it is a shift to a different model where you have multiple income streams, like instead of making 1000$ a month drawing Frieren footjobs eight times you'll make 500 with three drawings, have 400 on the patreon, 50 from some YouTube video from 3 months ago, the occasional sticker sale, etc.Which is unfair to small artists but they weren't getting commissions before anyway.
