Parts of the Sistine Chapel seem objectively kinda int. Why doesn't Michelangelo get more flack for inconsistent quality?

I agree. Never liked his weird bulky anatomy style. He was just a workhorse who painted impressive frescos but his artstyle was always meh to me. Davinci was much more talented but sadly never painted huge frescos afaik.
