How do I get over the EMBARRASSMENT of my drawings looking SHIT until I've practiced enough by drawing shit drawings?
>>7995033By not bitching on /ic/ and drawing
No one cares. I mean it. No one gives a fuck and you shouldn't either. You're one of millions of people pumping out garbage scribbles. It doesn't reflect back on you, even our resident schizos are just anonymous artists. If you're not going to take advantage of the anonymity here to safely post your crap then just go to reddit or some other hugbox
You probably shouldn't. Talented artists already can draw properly with 16.
>>7995052I care. I mean, I don’t care about you or OP or anyone else personally, but, when someone posts /beg/ art I do judge them for being /beg/ and I silently laugh at them.“No one notices you” is the biggest and most hilarious cope, EVERYONE notices you and is judging you all the time.
>>7995033Just stop caring
>>7995055Your pajeet is showing, crab-kun.>>7995033Stop being a faggot.
>>7995084Without the veil of anonymity you wouldn't have the balls to say more than, "uhh I think it's nice" to even the faggiest furry so I'm not sure why you think anyone who's not a very retarded child is intimidated by your derision
>>7995055with 16 what?
>>7995033I personally did not and it just gets worse, because the more the years, the less I feel justified for sucking like a beg.
>>7995033I have sketchbooks entirely for the purpose of throwing them away. Every once in a while I accidentally make a masterpiece and I cut it out.
>>7995149Adding to this, I also feel guilty for drawing...
>>7995033go to /h/ color thread do colorings for somebodyyou post them, they say thanks... there you go get a little ego boost and then you can post on /ic/ and get bombarded kek...
>>7995033No one ever really gets over chef syndrome in my experience. Its just important to keep drawing till you get to a point where you can say there at least a few people that like your art and then once there you can do like >>7995052 said
>>7995033>>7995047>>7995052>>7995055>>7995099>>7995349>Just pretend that shit doesn´t stink and sniff more your shit until you improove bro!
>>7995033Kill all your passion and care for art, become utterly apathetic to it, and treat drawing like a job.
>>7995432Well yes, there's no shortcut to getting better
>>7995033just keep learning new stuff and challenging yourself. it can be rough when you post something you are proud of and it gets torn to shreds and everyone laughs at you. it's probably better to get used to the pain now because, if you intend to ever share your art, you are going to have critics.
It's all steps towards a goal.Draw roughly. Get a feel for the feel of your characters, their presence in space. Encapsulate a moment, a feeling, a stance conveying attitude. Then you can consider drawing them seriously, but for your own visualization. What you are doing presently is Not Bad, but tools to construct something bigger and great.
By getting better, then farming engagement with a progress post.
>>7995033Take this to heart >>7995052 OP. Even if you post your shitty drawings, people will comment on them then move on. Just like you've seen 10s of thousand of pictures, some that you judged but ultimately forgotten. You can take your time but even with great art people will criticize you, better rip that bandaid off early than be exposed as someone with a fragile ego early.>b-but what if >>7995084 makes a whole greentext shareable pic of me that gains popularity on da chanz, that's embarrassingIf someone posts a before picture you post an after image and play it cool "Oh yeah that was me in the beginning, man how time flies, still trying to improve, here's my current style btw"People will laugh at you for being fat but mire you for becoming /fit/
>>7995438That’s exactly what I did, but for some reason, it didn’t work.
have fun with the process even if you are bad
>>7995598fun is impossible unless you are good
>>7995600Not true because the funnest part about art is slowly seeing urself get better!
>>7995033>draw>post it into the ether>realized that it'll get 11 views and 1 likes tops
>>7995660>seeing urself get betterIt doesn't happen :(
>>7995664Idiot, you don't brute force it through trial and error. You ask yourself after making drawing what things you'd like to improve and what mistakes that you have made. If you can't seem to find it. Try asking others here in /ic/
>>7995033Exposure therapy, and reminding yourself that nobody gives two shits about how crap your art is (like how >>7995052 mentioned). What people will give a shit about is WHAT your art means and HOW it executes/portrays its message. If it's authentic and holds no irony to its existence, then people will be more willing to take it seriously, even if the art is piss-poor in quality. As someone whom worries about what others say (but not enough to stop myself from actually posting my stuff lmao), I know how you feel about the embarrassment. Honestly, just post your stuff, and be authentic about what you make-- because if you don't treat your artistic desires with sincerity, then no one will.pic related of my own work from 10 years ago versus recently.
>>7995686>ask yourself after making drawing what things you'd like to improve and what mistakes that you have made. The only thing I can ever come up with is that I tried to draw without knowing how to draw. It's hard to strive to do better when I genuinely don't understand what I'm trying to do.>If you can't seem to find it. Try asking others here in /ic/I am bad enough that people assume I am either trolling or put zero effort into my work. I also assume that it's hard to meaningfully criticize a lumpy circle with some random squiggly lines inside of it.
>>7995033You can just not show people your bad drawings, but then you never feel the shame the unreasonably comes with and then you never progress. You use the bad as fuel to improve. "I can't let people see another stinker like that last one."
>>7995600Artists that are good don't think it's fun either
i cant even make bad art because I cant finish anything. i dont know where to start. i cant study or have fun
>>7995686>Try asking others here in /ic/No one will answer, as always.
