>try to get into art
>not popular enough online to feel validated so I show my parents my work instead
>parents always like seeing my stuff so I feel good showing them my drawings
>today, get new text from parents
>they ran my art through ai to improve it
What do I even do now? I'm too much of a coward to confront them about it but now I feel like my art is shit and they thought so too. Do I just give up?

Sorry anon, that was a really shitty thing of them to do, that must feel awful.
It’s probably not worth starting a big scene about it though. If you feel like you’re able to then have a calm conversation with them about how it made you feel and how important it is to you that you achieve things in art on your own without AI assistance. Failing that, I would just keep quiet about it and appreciate the support that you do get from them

Remember that most boomers genuinely like AI. They don't understand the angst it invokes in young people and just see it as a useful tool.
>>

They didn't mean anything by it. They don't understand the online art bubble and its anxieties over AI.
>>
>>7995169
they did it because they thought you would feel as impressed as they did at the "potential". They see ai like a fortune teller showing what you could be drawing like, so they have full confidence in your abilities.

>hoard all the money
>die before the climate gets bad
>die before ai makes human labor worthless and we all get ground into biodiesel
Man boomers are so lucky

Think of all those times your mom made you dinner and you put ketchup on it.

Don't stop with art.
Be determined.

Then follow up, by telling
about
< why
the generative AI bubble is bad.

They just don't understand
the cons.
