I-ve got a question. According to studies, sketching or doodling helps you remember more words and ideas. The quality doesn't really matter.My question is, should I symbol draw what I read or learn how to draw from imagination using construction? When you do a symbol drawing for a book or novel, what you're actually doing is to represent a certain something in that novel, be it tthe theme, the philosophy, a certain object that could represent an entire chapter, or maybe an entire book itself. This is what graphic designers do before they design a book cover or book marks or anything related to the book or novel itselfWhen you're drawing from imagination, you are drawing or painting a certain scene from a portion of that novel the way you visualize them on your reading. This is what artists and painters have been doing for centuries. Either way, i think both will help you in remembering stuff eventually (since both is a form of drawing at the end of the day), just want to tell you where each roads will lead to, though I argue that journaling will help you better in this case
