Personally, why do you draw?
>>7999961It's just what I have always done. There is no way back anymore. Plus it's fun. I think it's the best hobby you can have.
sunk cost
I don't draw.
>>7999961God told me to
because my life shouldnt end like a total failure. maybe it even inspired or helped someone. the minor interactions i had were seemingly fruitful, so if i'd die right now i wont haunt anyone as ghost woth regrets. kys the world goodbye~
I'm an unemployed bum and there's nothing to do.

I just keep coming back to it. I think some of us just have a natural dissatisfaction with language as communication and we have something inside that we're desperately trying to find a means of expression for.
>>7999961I’m trying to change the world
>>7999961so I can draw my OC AMERICA JOE SHOOTING STUFF
>>7999961It's fun and slightly better than playing the same video games over and over.
>>7999961manga and sutff
>>7999961for fun and to put ideas out of my mind... simple as that.
>>7999961cute girls. these days trying to recover.
I'm an abused neglected manchild trying to express himself in anyway he can. I'm afraid my enjoyment of drawing will disappear if i ever became a normalfag
>>7999961I like it
To stumble into stories and see where they go.
What else am I supposed to do? Women are aggressive wannabe who constantly try to gaslight you and only care about money and social status. There is no reason to go outside it's just just shitskins everywhere anyway and your corrupt government wants to replace you with them. Drawing is the onyl thing I can do.
>>7999961I don't and therein lies the problem.
>>7999961After seeing art in the internet for many years, i've decided to finally give it a try.
>>7999961I share the desire "to create Cute Girls!"
>>8000095>>8000183Nice. I love cute girls. Let's keep drawing cute girls together.
>>7999961I draw because I want to get good at art so that some woman will want to have sex with me someday
>>8000161Stop drawing, stop going to pol, and seek help.
>>7999961it feels good
>>8000188Brown hands typed this
>>7999961No one else is going to draw the things I want to see, at least not for free.I also find it very relaxing and a fun challenge. It also makes for a good way to avoid communicating with people who bother me.As you get older, you realize that masturbating and playing video games is a waste of time. Better to draw and write and read books and watch movies. Not to say that there aren't good video games out there, but most are just timesinks.
>>7999961Cause I'd just be a bum stuck indoors spending his time playing videogames all day if I didn't draw. It's good to feel like you've done Something at the end of each day.
it makes me feel happy.. its fun.. drawing is like meditation, time just slips by (plus it is productive.) I usually am self loathing but when I sit at my chair to work on pages I feel a-ok. I'm also not that smart and don't have an interest in many things.
>>7999961i like drawing my favorite character. i'm a boring person irl and don't have much goin' for me, so when i have free time instead of doomscrolling i draw
>>7999961i have no imagination so i draw to create images for my thoughts; give them a concrete form.
>>7999961Immortality and wanting to be remembered after I'm gone, basically. There are many other motivations too, but that's the main one to be honest. Work in general isn't actually fun for me (and drawing is work), my natural state is to just sit around like a log and vegetate.
>>8000920>immortality Fucking this. I want my life and spirit to continue to live through my art even once I’m gone. I want to live forever. This is one of the largest reasons for me personally.
>>8000132>I like it>>8000256>it feels good>>8000571>i like drawing my favorite characterthese, and i like celebrating the things i love, which is pretty much everything
>>7999961I originally found it fun and want to use it to draw characters I love. Though I don't know if I share the same sentiment now because right now I'm forcing myself to get better as soon as possible so I can gain something from drawing.I'm a fresh graduate and It feels like drawing is the only path I can walk now to get by in life rather than it simply being a hobby that I can just enjoy at times. I've heard about nightmare stories about how drawing as a job just fucks your relationship with it and honestly I'm starting to feel that strain just forcing myself to improve everyday, I'm not even no-where close to how I want my art to be nor to the standards i assume some jobs want my work to be. And with the rise of the use of AI, it's stressing me out a lot more I still wanna say that I wanna draw to breathe life into the characters I've made in my head alongside the characters I've loved for the longest time, but the stress in trying to get through life with what I've been doing my entire life and what I believe is the only skill I have is messing me up hard.
>>7999961most smut drawers have abysmal dogshit taste and it's up to me to prove it
>>8000947>>8000920sounds lame, i'd rather have gene therapy and live to 200 at least. i don't care what happens to my legacy or the world after i'm dead.
>>8000920>>8000947>>8001110Becker talks about this.
I want to share the wisdom that can only manifest by thinking in his head.
At the end of the year, it's easy (and sometimes distressing) to look back and wonder whether the time was spent well. A pile of things you have created is evidence that your time hasn't been wasted. (In my case, it's photos of things I've made because I give them all away.)
>>7999961It's the only time I can stop my brain from circling down the drain of depression
>>8000920Damn, that's literally me. I want to be immortal so I can do nothing and not feel guilty of it. Just spend 100 years doomscrolling in bed and then spend another 100 years shitposting on 4chan or something and keep cycling through mundane activities is my greatest wish for my existence.
>>79999611. I have a world/project I hope I can illustrate in a year or two to some level of satisfaction.2. It's very fun when I'm not stuck, which is luckily very rare now after years of practice.3. It allows me to participate in things and create for others, something I wasn't able to do when I was younger. I like to see others happy.4. Sunk cost. it's a bit late too seriously pick up another hobby much less find one I enjoy.
>>7999961I like just like drawing monster girls even if I'm not very good at it.
>>79999611. it feels good. the act itself is enjoyable beyond whatever gets produced2. I like to dream up different projects that require illustrations or concept art. I'll probably never actually make a videogame, let alone a huge trilogy of epic scifi movies, but drawing "concept art" for my pet projects makes me feel closer to achieving some of them. if nothing else, maybe I'll build up a portfolio and I'll end up working on something cool. if not, well, I'm having fun3. I've always had a lot of positive reinforcement from people around me, I can't really deny that. social validation is important. but I'm pretty sure I would still do it for 1 alone
>>8001117death is inevitable, but people under 30 today will live to see major advancements in longevity by the time they are in retirement age.
>>8001110I do>>8001117Wouldn’t necessarily call it “denying death” more like wanting our life to mean something to the world when we die
