I'd like to learn how to draw.Is that possible for someone who has never learnt how to do anything well and is a NEET with 0 confidence?
Don't see why not. Being a NEET is an advantage, you have more free time to draw. 0 confidence might be a problem. If you keep drawing and keep challenging yourself, you'll improove. If you get demotivated by failure, you will either quit or wallow in your comfort zone for eternity.If the reason you have never learned any skill is because you lack follow-through/discipline/conscientiousness/whatever, then you're fucked unless you fix the underlying behavior.

>>8000074Here's what you want to do if you want to draw:>get Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and do the exercises>get into the habit of Memory Drawing (read Jason Brubaker's Cognitive Drawing book or view his YouTube channel - alternatively, read Rousar's Memory Drawing book)>spend a week working on lines, another week on shapes, and two weeks working on forms, then two weeks on values and light/shadow>get used to continuous line drawing>do lots of gesture studies>spend lots of time carefully observing your subjectDraw for at least 2 hours a day. Since you're a NEET, go for 4-6 hours.Here's my process for studying:>Draw subject from memory>Grab references, then trace them (breaking them down into simple forms and shapes)>Draw while only looking at the ref and not my paper>Draw while glancing at my paper>Draw from memory, then compare the results>Draw while glancing at the paper>Draw from memoryThen I try and draw from my imagination the following day.If you want to use references, here's what you do:>negative space studies>the envelope method>blind contours>tracing (break the ref down into shapes and forms)>silhouette studies>upside down drawingsPersonally, I'd start with something small and easy to draw like Kirby.
