A state fair is kind of an American tribute to slop, and I have a deep cultural appreciation for the American Arts of turning the slop forced on us into palatable or culturally interesting things. I see something interesting in letting it be used in rural art and seeing what people come up with, but it does need to be clearly separated from the purely human arts and crafts
