How big of a deal is it for artists if someone uses an anime girl they drew as the background for a youtube nightcore video or an original song?I come from the old internet where posting a link to the artist's page in the description was enough. But nowadays artists are straight up insane about reposting for whatever reason. Picture very related, they're willing to drop watermark nukes on their drawings just to prevent someone setting it as their wallpaper.I don't want to use AI because I think it's wrong. Any artist who has ever drawn something nice ignores me if I ask for permission.Why are artists schizophrenic about limiting the spread of their art on the internet nowadays? And what are my alternatives

My youtube channel is more like an archive that I can easily show to friends and family.I just want something that fits the mood and won't be taken down/copyright claimed just because a deranged artist is ripping their hair off because of a video that gets 3 views per year.

>>8007316If you're going to ask around, why not take a gander at any of the artists in places like /asg/ or /mmg/ or /alt/ or whatever? Ask and then see what people post in response. The art might not be as nice but it never hurts to inquire. Beggars can't be choosers.
