I'm beg who's been drawing for years now and one of my biggest issues with regards to drawing - I think possibly the main one that's preventing me from really progressing - is getting too bogged down by details. Whenever I start on a drawing, it'll go okay for a bit, then after awhile I'll start getting hung up on minor details and then the whole process just grinds to a halt. And if I take a break or go back the next day, I've usually lost all steam by then and have no desire to finish the piece anymore. How do I stop obsessing over dumb shit or not let it prevent me from just giving up?
