I struggle to start comics and illustrations cause I have a lot ideas fighting in my head with a thousand more on the back burner. I over think things way too much and if I didn't I probably could get more things done. Do you struggle with this too?
>>8009031Try this. https://youtu.be/1OSWR7xiQLk?is=u4BhvLmcbB9pmbnVMy Creativity Grind. Repeat until one of your ideas clings to those random shapes.
>>8009031just start getting it down on paper. the sooner you make them real the sooner you'll realize you don't actually have as many ideas as you think OR the sooner you'll be able to remove that pressure as more and more leave your brain to the page. these ideas don't have to look good either. Just draw a really ugly comic using what you got and then go back later and fix it.
>>8009031I draw (crudely) every single dumb idea which gets into my head. Once it's out my brain is happy. Only a tenth of those ideas are decent and will get used down the line for something. But the important thing is to get even the dumbest, silliest, sometimes even most mundane thing onto paper.
>>8009558that's great anon. you on tumblr or bsky?
>>8009031Try just getting doodles and writing on paper as a start, then refine them as you go. The more you acknowledge you're actually doing something, the less stress and overthinking there will be prior to doing more. Try to discipline yourself to complete something from start to finish, and balance it out with small breaks in between to contemplate on what else to add or edit.
