any suggestions of niche art genres or untapped markets for quick money??? i'm down to draw NSFW stuff
Swallow your pride and go to r/drawme and draw everyone you see in a semi serious style, you'll make about a hundred a week
It takes hours to draw anything and years to build the social media presence that you will need to even get commissioned. You will give up if you don't draw what you want to draw.
>>8011106i'll go check it out, alrighttt>>8011110figures... the problem is i don't particularly have a preference or fixation on any genre, so i'm kinda lost
>>8011101>>8011106To add to this, drawing quick sketches of people's cats on reddit is a good idea, too. Just go to r/cats and make a post, you'll get tons of replies.
>>8011125aight, you guys might be onto something here, it wouldn't hurt to try
>>8011129Copy a safe horny style like Bruce Timm and you'll be making beer money in mere days of effort
>>8011106Do people get paid on there??
>>8011141i'm guessing it's easy to get commissioned there or getting tipped
>>8011141I won't pretend like it's a guaranteed paycheck or anything but yeah I've been tipped there. Doing like maybe 12 drawings a day usually gets me 20 bucks and at the end of the week I'll usually have 75, maybe a hundred dollars. I think the keys here are to not be pushy with messages like "tip jar! tip jar!" like some people have, but also, don't be low effort sloppa because they will glaze anything there so they might say your portrait is good but if it's bad you won't get money, fuck if it's good you might not get money, you basically just treat every post like an exercise that might make you enough money for a crunchwrap.
>>8011101DND art on Etsy.
>>8011163hmmmmm....... i'd prefer to not draw NSFW, if possible, so i'll look into this, i'm pretty good at designing characters, still i think i'll have to grow a following base, tho
>>8011163there is no way this stuff is selling, I don't think there's any non AI groups left even on reddit. everyone just uses free tier chat GPT for their campaign pictures now.
>>8011167I don't think you need a following. Some of these artists have no presence elsewhere. A lot of them buy ads on Etsy, but it's like $1 a day, so they're not breaking the bank. >>8011169It is. This guy has 76 sales in only two months. Let's assume only his cheapest listing sold, and he made $2,280 in that period.
>>8011169A full D&D campaign where you go from finding some guy's sheep to killing an elder god lasts several years and it's one of those games where you won't actually die unless you completely fuck up, 72$ for a character sheet is a bit more than people care to pay but 20 for a portrait isn't unreasonable. If a dude commissions you for Cyberpunk Red he's fucking with you though.
>>8011206i'm built like this irl
