Do people make up colors when painting? there is no way they actually see all these colors in the face.
>>
>>8011600
This is called optical mixing. Pioneered by the impressionists
>>
>>8011600
sure, but it's more that they exaggerate the temperature shifts that are already there
and also your eyes adjust and can find more colors in shadows than cameras can
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WpqmQTmnxs
>>
>>8011600
You can make up any color as long as you understand values.
>>
>>8012179
wrong, temperature alone turns the form up to 40 degrees
stop parroting things you don't understand
>>
>>8012195
Color temp is a subset of values, retard.
>>
>>8012196
>hurr relative hue and saturation is a subset of value durr
what did I just say, retard?
>>
>>8012196
In what way is temperature a subset of how light or dark a color is?

In the sense that more saturated colors have higher, while muted ones have lower values.
>>8012209
>>
>>8011600
You can do whatever you want as long as it looks neat. Trying to be as realistic as possible is boring and a machine could do that.
>>
>>8012233
None of what you said makes sense and you fucked up the value check. Black layer on top, set to saturation.

What has a higher value, red or white? Blue or white? Green or white? Like what the fuck are you talking about? What do you think value means? Did you take half a second to think about what you just said?
>>
Wait, so my learning of values dies when doing colors? What the hell, values are the very fundamentals we learn first from any color book. Are you telling me the shadows can have a lighter value than the lights if temperature enters the scene?

Fuck this shit.

that's not how you check values, put your image over mine and set it to value, you'll get this and not the original image, you changed the values
also, you're retarded

>>8012260
no, shadows by definition can't be lighter than light because whatever is darker is the shadow, shadows are lit too, just to a lesser degree, otherwise they'd just be pitch black
what can happen is having a form of just one value but right color still have an illusion of form and consequently wrong color but right value can undermine the illusion, read alla prima
though obviously value is the bigger factor
>>
>>8012260
Are you retarded
>>
>>8012233
Value LITERALLY just means how dark a color is
>>
>>8012269
I am. I have only around 100 IQ.

Where, in Albania?
>>
insane slander
>>
>>8012233
>this is who's giving you advice
>>
>>8011600
Yeah but learn about color temperature as well where if things get too warm you cool it down if its too cool you warm that thing a little bit up. Digitalbros feel free to ignore this advice since blue+yellow=mud when it comes to your 'canvas'
>>
>>8012355
this is a very ignorant thing to say?
>>
>>8012355
>Digitalbros feel free to ignore this advice since blue+yellow=mud when it comes to your 'canvas'
That has literally no relation to anything you've said, you dumb nigger
