I dont draw very often, when I do it never turns out to well, but it always takes up free time that i would normal use to indulge in self destructive behaviors. I do enjoy drawing and would like to get better but i enjoy it most for the enjoyment i get while doing it and not the product. in the moment when I finish I will look at my "masterpiece" and think it looks good but then sleep on it and think it looks horrible the next day and cringe over what i drew. this is my attempt at putting what I drew out there just to share it.
>>8016890You need to figure out what you don’t like about it and change it (next time). That’s it.
>>8016890too many words. just keep drawing and build up mileage
>>8016890This is very sovlful anon, you seem to be pure of heart. Keep practicing and good things will come to you
>>8016890>in the moment when I finish I will look at my "masterpiece" and think it looks good but then sleep on it and think it looks horrible the next day and cringe over what i drew. This is what keeps artists improving. When this voice goes away, they stop getting better. Also, based Suika enjoyer.
>>8016905retards response when they have no actual advice to give
>>8017108For actual day one begbegs, “just draw” actual is the best advice. No point in dumping a whole ass curriculum on someone right away when they’re still just feeling out if they even want to take drawing seriously or not
>>8017163it's worth noting that nobody who says "just draw" actually took that advice when they were a complete beginner, you have nothing of substance to give but just want to say some bullshit that's short and you think sounds nice. You are very obviously not giving advice from experience, but just from what you've heard other retards say, who also are not saying "just draw" from experience

>>8017206For the millionth time, “just draw” does not mean “close your eyes, move the pencil across the paper at random, let Jesus take the wheel”. It means “just explore and do your own thing, if something seems fun or interesting then do that”
>>8017206"Just draw" is typically a response to people who needlessly hem and haw over the idea of drawing rather than just getting to it. Those people will typically benefit more from practice than they will from any discussion of their hesitancy. It is intentionally terse advice for a reason.>>8016890>i enjoy it most for the enjoyment i get while doing itTerrific. Your situation is ideal.
>>8016890And you are drawing more then 90% of /ic/ already so be proud of yourself.
