being a /beg/ is literally the hardest stage of drawing and it's not even close.
>>8019923Duh?What else would it be?
>>8019923Being pro is the hardest stage because you constantly have to fight against deadlines. Deadlines make drawing 10 times harder.
>>8019923you can get out of /beg/ within a year at most if you're actually drawing. getting out of /lowint/ is the hardest because now you have to go from drawing something passable to drawing something GOOD
>>8019928>deadlinesDeadlines are just a giant conspiracy all the elite are in on.I've missed plenty on these so called 'dead' lines, and I haven't died once. Bullshit. So just ignore them, take jobs and never complete them, it's infinite money for zero work.
>>8019923>stop using /ic/>nobody outside of /ic/ will ever call you for being /beg/>not /beg/ anymorejust make art and don't worry about labels
>>8019923I think beg gains are a lot of fun, going from nothing to something is very motivating. At some point it gets harder to figure out what the biggest issue is, and diminishing returns kick in
>>8019923>drawing is hardest when you don't know how to drawNaturally?
>>8019939But what about the power level thread?
>>8019923actually, the gap between int and adv is bigger than the gap from pre-beg to int
>>8019943I wish drawing actually had beginner gains like other skills.
It's also the most fun stage, faggot
>>8019923Factually incorrect. When you're a beg you should just be drawing whatever you want and copying and tracing from pros. The int stage is the most maddening because you've lost your beg creativity and enthusiasm and replaced it with this strive for following rules, and you still aren't good yet.
>>8020208>It's also the most fun stageNah. If you're an adult who can barely draw stickfigures, I doubt you're having fun, you're probably feeling immense shame.Overcoming the shame so you can motivate yourself to get through the early /beg/ stages must be damn difficult. It's not something unique to drawing either; a lot of different hobbies and crafts have a begging period where you are just embarrassingly shitty, and it's likely why older adults often don't branch out and try new things... they just don't want to feel that childish sense of shame.
>>8019943When you’re stuck in /beg/ for years and you never get to “something” it stops being fun
>>8020203I think there arelike not knowing jack shit about perspective to knowing the basicsor doing random proportions to start observing properlyor doing unbalanced compositions to basic bitch rule of 3rdsthere are a lot of easy wins in the beginning
beg is soul crushing and ten times as difficult when dealing with mental and physical health conditions. what was meant to be a fun hobby has turned into a crown of thorns.
>>8019923kek you think you'll have stagesand progress through themkek
>>8020203It literally does. Draw something twice in a row and see how easy gains are. For some reason people wriggle like an eel in your grasp when you show them that a little bit of boring work goes a long way and they restart Drawabox for thousandth time
it's the most soulful stage
>>8019923wrong. even kids can get themselves out of /beg/going from /int/ to /adv/ is way harder, plenty of hard working and talented artists get stuck there.
adv is actually the hardest, you cant even make a general
>>8019923ya no shit? its like being 280lbs+ and trying to sprint on a treadmill. maybe go for a walk first and stop stuffing your fat fucking face. baby steps anon
>>8021012/draw/ is the /adv/ general
>>8021934/draw/ is /beg/ with dks
>>8021943Ok well then start your own /adv/ general then. It’s not against the rules.
>>8021946Would be pointlesssee this comment >>4226018
>>8020324
>>8020324>not having fun by drawing any thing at allyeah if you're not already a master within one day of not even trying, clearly its not meant to be
>>8022044>>8022059>yeah if you're not already a master within one day of not even trying, clearly its not meant to beIf that's really what you took away from the post, you're legitimately retarded.Nice comics though.
>>8022135i got it, it's just that its fucking retarded and not at all something that can be generalized because an actual adult will know that if they want to keep doing what they do, they'll eventually get better at it.Only kids firmly believe there is no tomorrow.
Not really, you have a clear direction to go and you know for a fact you have room to improve. Its already laid out for you. The worst position to be in is high /int/. You are finished studying, anything else you study will be a hyper focus niche and the returns are inconsistent. You are carried purely by motivation and compulsion because you know how much energy and time a drawing takes. And if you made it, then you are trapped drawing forever. If you have nothing to say, you can't just draw nothing. Its your job, you have to draw.
aren't permabegs just begs who accept/ take pride in being begs? i'm honestly curious how much being ngmi comes down to identity
>>8020203It does. People's mistake is starting with resources that are way too "hard to digest", or way too hard to actually apply to a drawing. You can stitch together pretty good drawings just by following 15 second YouTube shorts "how to draw manga eye" tier tutorials. Start with the most low iq, "give a man a fish" tier content, and you will progress quickly.
>>8022059This is me except after I threaten to kill myself I go back to drawing
