Is this sellable how much or too noobie
>>8028482a paintings market value is determined more by the subject matter than the quality. i would recommend landscapes or abstract art at your skill level
>>8028482give up this illustration inspired thing, look at old art, the main subject should be absolutely captivating, use the space to paint a bigger, beautiful horse and knight.surely you can find a tale of a knight's encounter with a maiden for inspiration, you painted women sitting on your last canvas after all.
>>8028482skill wise it seems fine but i am having trouble picturing the target buyer for this.
>>8028482Gotta be honest anon. I don't see nobody buying that, unless that buyer is part of a crowd that follows your work. And I don't think you're that kind of "established artist" with an artistic lore and personal brand behind you. You're half way there, you are in the right path already doing trad painting, that will become more valuable than digital art. But as other anons said, you need to re-adjust not only the quality of your work but also the theme of it.Personally what I want to see in a painting is vibrant colors, not muddy or greysh tonalities. The advantage of working with paint is that you can make something to pop out of the wall. Reds so red that you can almost touch it, blue so blue that you may be fooled to think that's a hole in the wall to the outside. And it doesn't have to be some epic piece but something simple, but vibrant and captivating.
>>8028523saaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr do not redeeeemmm!
>>8028482I am one gorillion percent certain this would look better if you just used black paint or a marker while its dry to make it contrast moreYour art is peak, dont let this man >>8028486 lie to you. The horseman ready to fight demons from hell is a good idea, you were simply misled from lack of references, the only thing thats wrong is the sky and the subject together, on their own they're good, but you had to decide whether the ground or the sky was darker and use a single complementary color palette for one of the two. You don't really see this lack of contrast in nature, or at least its mentally draining when you do
>>8028482I'm gonna buy it how much is it
>>8028523Did you paint this? It's terrific.
I'm gonna be very honest here, anon. This is just not good in a number of ways. But it's ambitious, so don't let that discourage you.I can't really critique your subject matter much because ultimately that one is on you. But I will say, that in the grand scheme of things it's a bit bland. It feels like a fantasy piece by someone who's not very experienced in fantasy, broad strokes stuff, not a lot going on that caters to someone who would be into a niche genre.Technique-wise, it's lacking, or just objectively bad, and I say that completely seriously. Take a painting course, find a book (any book), whatever. Pause what you're doing and go learn how to actually put paint on a canvas. I'm not saying stop painting, but you should most definitely stop painting the way you currently are, it's very very much not working. It's bad.
>>8028489I know the exact market for this and it is like 40s old nerd guys who like D&D and retro games.
>>8028482copy frazetta twice
>>8028790They have wives that will be extremely unhappy about this ruining their uniformly sad beige plans
>>8028786good morning
>>8028786No, I searched for "vibrant marina oil paintings" and I liked that one. I think it was from some female artist on facebook, I didn't save the source profile.
>>8028980Do the needful saar
>>8028543>>8028956>>8028983Why are you specifically attacking this one anon?
>>8028992saar do not redeem saar
Bloody bitch benchod doing the racism
>>8028992I'm guessing because the image they're complementing looks heavily like AI, and rather than simply saying as much, and trying to communicate like a human being to another human being, they're chimping out and posting in memes instead.
>>8029062SAAR DO THE HUMAN COMMUNICATIONING SAAR YOU BLOODY FUCKNG
>>8029062>the image they're complementing looks heavily like AII'm the retard who didn't see that. Looked to me the sky was done with a palette knife, which I've never used, so I suppose I'm a lousy judge.Anyway, I found the original by Kogay Zhanna. There are a few photos of it from different angles in her studio, but I'm not exactly confident in my judgment anymore. It's quite different from the knife version.
>>8028482Someone will buy it.
>>8028482Train up on value control and you could probably sell some shit desu
