>I'm not asian! I can't draw!>I'm not german or Dutch. I can't make electronic music!>I'm not brazillian. I can't kick the ball!>I'm not Indian. I can't code!>I'm not American, I can't be fat!
>>8028905Why would you even take the time to say this or post this?
>>8028906The same reason thousands of idiots on /ic/ continue spamming the "muh azn jeans" meme.
>>8028906Op is lonely.
Absolutely right. A bangladeshi living in a slum that's never used a computer can learn to draw anime as well as a japanese IT guy that's been surrounded by anime all of his life. He only needs to lay off his 25 cent/hour job and dedicate his life to copying anime to become the next Miura.

Another abhorrent thread to take up space on the catalog!

>>8028905I'm italian and i only draw shit ass cartoons. I don't really feel the michelangelo or leonardo inside me.
>>8028905In the West you are unironically held back. Younger people have pretty much grown up in a world full of calarts shit and mentally hazardous "art" "tutorials". This shit floods your mind where as the Japanese get to grow up enjoying high quality art (and Japanese internet tutorials are some of the best). You basically have to unlearn a lot of shit so you can let lose and then start to develop a good style. The fact that many people who are even super fans still think of anime and manga as a style doesn't help either. They try to do a "here's how to draw this cartoon character" type study and then wonder why they can't draw a dynamic assortment of things and why a 1 degree angle change messes up the impression. Shapes are a big part of good art and you should ultimately think about them while subconsciously letting the strokes build them. But the shape based character tutorials on American social media are very one dimensional and meant as parlor tricks. One of the best things you can do for your art is unironically stop looking at bad art now. Other than subconsciously picking up habits from it, seeing the nth shitty deviant art comic hurts your self esteem if you fail and start to feel like you are morphing into that. Next time you read a manga, take time occasionally to analyze how different subjects are being built. Test anatomical proportions against both this and images of real people you saw. Even guys like Davinci didn't always have their sketch books and sometimes took mental notes instead. Eventually you'll passively absorb the characteristics of the world around you and have a good starting point at drawing anything.
>>8029023Yeah, this is actually a big problem. It's insane how much catching up you have to do if you weren't fortunate to already be immersed into the Japanese (proper) way of doing things for some time. To just reach what would be considered the baseline in Japan in terms of healthy views on art/storytelling is a miracle level event even for a lot of anime and manga fans in the West. It's incredibly easy to get subverted if you are not unapologetically committed to the proper way, even if you manage to do something semi-decent and are not infected with the most obvious forms of Western brainworms that's not enough sadly.
>>8029023>>8029051You will never be japanese
>>8028976that's because nutelians are just crypto jews, nafris and albanianscondolences
@8029076The based community does not want to "be japanese", we want Japan to be more racist because we love their art and can actually see how it's superior.
>>8028905Indians can't code
>>8029023Which Japanese videos do you recommend?
>>8029526Hide channel is pretty good. Should find it by just searching hide channel with some art or anime related words. The guys draws things in a very sensible way, has an old good line of anatomy tutorials, and constantly makes new learning videos. Other than that, I think I'd specifically focus on animation related tutorial videos. The anime industry is forced to find ways to create convincing anatomy and scenes quickly. At least for me, I find that efficiency focused tutorials are the best for learning and they also tend to be straight to the point.
>>8029023Young children's books and toys are most often atrocious and assume a child has no aesthetic sense. And then there are some (especially books) which are pure magic. You really have to be selective about them.
>>8029558Thank you
>>8028905>>I'm not Indian. I can't code!neither can they
>>8029717Most are just envious of Indians. They see how retarded they are, yet how they are simultaneously very determined and force themselves everywhere. Instead of learning from the pattern, they just sling some insults and give up. This encapsulates the whole idea of this thread. (you) are in control of your destiny, there is truly nothing you can't do. Make the world work the way you want it to, make it work for you.
>>8029765We're really not. We're really not. However, it's cute seeing jeets try to astroturf the internet to save face lately. First it was blaming China, now they're claiming that all the terrible indians and scammers were actually americans botting accounts to slander their precious izzat. lmfao
