This is a good idea for a portfolio :

Think of a band name for a fictional musical act, and design album covers for them. And have the theme revolve around the title of the album. Widely different styles that make the viewer imagine what kind of music they play. And maybe the bands target demographic. One cover can suggest Enya, while another Motorhead. Just make the band name abstract.
