any tips please, like anatomy and face? i struggle with angles specially
>>8030753Hey, I like it. You clearly know what you're doing with mechanical forms: the bow, the overlapping shoulder plates, the gauntlet. Consider jamming a few pencils between your fingers of your left hand and snapping some photos with the right to give yourself a good reference for the arrow hand. The folds in the cloak around the face are a little bit hard to read as colored, but from what I can see you're doing a good job with them. It's unclear to me what's happening with the arms and those striking markings. You've got a good assortment of lineweights there. Consider using the heavier ones to define the periphery of forms that stand out or overlap, and lighter ones for lines within a form. The outer edge (silhouette edge?) of your box might be heavier than the lines between the panels. The exterior edge of your crossbow limbs might be heavier than that curve dividing the top face from the front face.Overall it's pretty great, though.
>>8030753>literally just traces the cover for berserk>shills random ebeggar accountsGod has abandoned you
>>8030776i didnt know i traced, u must have made it yourself tell me more about how you drew this and not me
>>8030771yeah i just kinda get messy with what i dont understand lol, i cant do angles rigth or 3d shapes so its too 3d, so i have to redraw the reference and not do something from imagination
>>8030753You have a few options for improvement. If you want to improve at drawing from memory/imagination, grab your reference of Guts and spend 30 seconds (or 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, etc) looking at it. Then put it away, and draw what you can remember. Then take out the reference again and make another drawing while occasionally looking at Guts. Then you repeat the process until you can draw Guts from imagination. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_NuJIJ6wGYJason Brubaker has a whole book on active recall/cognitive drawing.Since you're struggling with angles, you should spend some time drawing simple angles and 3D forms while also paying close attention to various angles in shapes and 3D forms. When it comes to the face and anatomy, you're gonna want to study the Asaro head in order to really internalize the planes of a face and head. You may also want to grab as many references of Guts from various angles to study.
>>8030794yeah, ig it boils down to just keep creationg, too bad modern world seems to make me not do that, consistently, thanks for the link ill try to look at it when have time and draw
>>8030753draw from life, make a copy of something you're seeing irl, compare to what you drew, check what's different, try again fixing that thing that you fucked up, repeat later with random references
