On the Prompt themselves, I recall the last few have sucked ass and really didn't inspire much... this one seems pretty good? Have my standards just fallen?

The point of the August release is to cook yourself at least some % of sketches/rounded up ideas/get some references ready. Some days you have all the energy and some you don't. You are less likely to fail on a bad day, if you already had half the work done.

Actually, I had all my ideas listed out, and some thumbnails, but evidently that wasn't quite enough for me to do it in a relaxed way. I guess I require a good deal of the drawings to be ready for inking, so if I can manage to get that done, I'll give it a go this year.

There's not going to be 31 prompts specifically tailored for everyone.
I'm sure a 20yo girl can fing a lot of things to do with Hooray, but you are a jaded shut-in and that one is hard for your brain to convert to something useful.

objectively speaking, most adjective-based prompt are shit, limiting, and uninspiring because they forces you to imagine an established scenario or frame in a middle of a sequence rather than a singular 'imaginatively bend-able' object that you can shape in any form that you want like 'apple' for example. And even if you want to be expressive with something like 'hooray' or 'confused' then you have to redefine the entire word and translate it into visual language and make sure that your audience understand what you're trying to say in there at the same time, literally tresspass into graphic design region at this point.
But whatever, i'll start to sketch some of these verb-prompt ones first, if i manage to draw atleast 10 of them this week then i'll continue with these entire inktober thing, if not then i'll stick to /draw/

It's deterministic either way because the prompt is the prompt and you are going to get the prompt niga
The difference is, with "Confused", I have no idea the scene you are going to paint.
But with "Apple", it's going to be an apple. An apple with eyes/limbs. An apple on a tree. Half an apple with seeds around. An apple pie. That's 80% if the "apple" drawings.

You can make anything out of apple prompt aside from food: you can draw apple tree, you can draw apple product like iphone or ipad, you can draw minecraft golden apple, you can involve an apple in a drawing with subject like in those ads, you can even use apple as a symbol, or expression like utilizing peeled apple skin as a shape.
When it comes to adjective like confused you'll see people drawing a confused or puzzled person and when it comes to hooray its probably some subject jumping and having fun, fist in the air type of thing (someone will probably mix it with trophy prompt), but it'll be like that over and over again

My attention is really pulled between different things, but I'm going to try as hard as I can to get at least half way through.
