"Settei" I did for my upcoming online comic strip/webcomic about 3 eccentric anthro girls sharing the same room at the college dorm :3Thoughts on their character designs? Do you think it's easy to imagine what they're like at a first glance visually speaking?
>3 foot tall mouse girlLooks very cute though in all seriousness
>>8031758>mouseShe's a squirrel :/ but anthro rodents in general are smoll in this universe
>>8031759my b, she cute though, are other animals big in this universe? Something like a shy giraffe librarian
>>8031762Well, there's Abenanka (who's in desperate need of a redesign, pic related is 3 years old) who's around 7'2 feet tall
>>8031759a GOTH squirrel! make her 7 feet tall and give her toned abs.gonna voice my own opinion unwarranted, but i've always hated cartoon animal characters with human-like hair. just breaks my suspension of disbelief is all, seems too intentionally human.
>>8031776Very cool. I got a bear lady in a comic I'm working on, but a bit different to that. Got socials?>>8031791>7 foot tall squirrel. Nah man, variety is the spice of life, need tall girls and big girls

>>8031750>Thoughts on their character designs?Looks like early 2000s webcomic characters.I'd call them a miss overall. The squirrel(?) girl, for example; she's wearing punk clothes, but doesn't really have a punk vibe. Even if you're going for the kind of cheery punk girl, this doesn't really seem to work. Where's the makeup? Where's the edge? Punk/goth relies a lot on contrast visually, so her mid-tonish browns take a lot out of the black clothes. The bunny girl just seems generic, and the cat girl(?) really doesn't communicate much. Heaphones are cool, yeah, but is she a gamer, a musician, what? She looks like she's going to go for a jog or something, but I don't think that's right.Additionally, settei isn't just "standing characters for reference," they're usually posed as well. A character's natural standing pose is also an opportunity for characterization. Posing and expression can tell a lot about a character that a static pose really can't - whether they are confident, shy, combative, ect. Pic related.
>>80319342000s webcomics were kino though, I’m so nostalgic for that era
>>8031750The character No Hat looks too much like Mimi
