Doing my comic for example after work, basically means I was sitting down hunched over the whole day between my boring IT job, and then what I actually care about.I just got a new casual IT job so I should be great to do art for 5 days of the week, but again, I understand why people are cattle dude, 9-5 for 10 years would fry somebody. I'm 23 and I already feel fucked
What worked for me was getting up at 4am and devoting a minimum of 1 hour to drawing/studies/painting. I work from 7am-4pm, and despite thinking I'd have time after work I always ran out of day. So now drawing time is taken on the front end of the, and I've been pretty happy with the routine. If you're working 9-5 and your commute is < 1 hour then getting up @ 6 should give you enough time to eat, draw, and get ready.
I stock shelves at night, and my commute started at 5:30 for a job that began at 10PM. I would come home dragging my ass, but after smoking a bowlful of inspiration, my fatigue would vanish and my mood would find the buoyancy that makes art possible. I split the day by going to the gym after work, then come back home and drawit helps that my day job is braindead, so I have enough mental energy for drawing
jerk off 5-10 times a day during work and you will come home refreshed and ready to draw

Draw while standing up straight. If the issue is that you're tired sitting all day, I find that simply standing gives you an energy boost.Alternatively, no need to draw seriously, just scribble. When you're watching tv or doing some other passive activity, just scribble a lot, and save the actual drawing for your days off.
