What happens if i lowkirkenuinely close my eyes and can't imagine just how the FUCK does the thing i have to draw look?

Like how is a woman with a staff on her hand ment to be on the exact pose where shes just going to stand up, like hand on her knee hunched over and pushing up, but she has a staff on her hand so she would have her right hand not leaning on her knee but, i guess holding the staff upwards, holding up to it, but then that fucks up the movement of her, like she no longer seems to be about to push her body forwards

And before you say it have a manly man ass body, the reference doesn't work, specially my shoulders dont have the same sucked into the clavicle look the character has and i cant just invent in what direction they go

I have assburgers the problem is really hard to communicate but

Difficult with drawing from imagination is usually rooted in not having enough references to piece it together as well as not having a deep enough visual library.

Try finding references similar to what you're trying to create. Mash them together throughout various iterations. Spend lots of time looking at your references. If you're still not finding results, put your drawing away for a day or so, then go back to it.

take a video of yourself doing the action, not to use as direct ref 1:1, but to feel the action and see how the staff would naturally be held during it
however you'll soon discover that your brain is lying to you, the pose you 'imagine' is quite unappealing
>>

What if she gripped the staff with both hands in the center of her body
Watch some strippers or poledancing I guess
>>
You aren't actually supposed to naturally be able to conceptualize these kinds of things without either reference or enough genuine study of reference to hold and manipulate it in your head. That is a skill you have to build up, niggas with "aphantasia" just haven't done that. I bet way more young people have "aphantasia" because they just watch videos instead of do the things people did as kids to develop an imagination

Damn I never thought about the fact that iPad kids might have a higher % of aphantasia if imagination develops as a necessity (which would make sense).
Given that the new generation doesn't have to imagine their favourite superhero doing stuff (thanks to AI) and parents aren't reading books to their kids at night, maybe their brain won't develop the tools required to do so.
That's so fuckin bleak dude.

Okay so first off the movement is much more complex and akward, second off i really like that and i think the tumbnails i planned out dont manage to capture that, and third off i think the movement needs five or four pannels to be captured, also fourth thing, there's a disconnect between she grabbing the pearl and standing up, like in what pose was she beforehand? So i like to imagine she akwardly crawled up to her friend's pearl off-panel, then even more akwardly stood up and ran away

that sketch of you holding the mop is great
now I understand you're going for a comic or something sequential
your readers don't need that many panels to understand movement, but you should choose the frames that capture the most energy or with the best potential for composition
you can also try moving the camera either above or below and see if it makes it more interesting
>>
Stop trying to draw heckin badass fantasy warrior women in battle poses and stick to sketching references for like 5 more years at least. Its gonna be a never ending, frustrating battle otherwise. Gigamassive beginner trap
>>
>>8037821
But i am doing that
Consistently

I take classes

Maybe you just don't have talent. Not all people can become artists, tbqh.
>>

Horrible advice, dont listen to this faggot.
You're gonna have to make attempts at drawing these things at Some point if that's what YOU want to draw.

Yes references are important but ONLY sketching references for 5 years straight is counterintuitive advice that doesn't get you where you want to go.

You havr to see how your mind processes certain ideas into an image so that you can tweak from there and elarn from our mistakes

Mistakes are inevitable, you gotta make a bunch, and the only way to do it os to keep drawing what you want/need
