>>8038076If I'm trying to make a proper finished piece, I'll use brush & ink, if it's just sketchbook scribbling, then it's just whatever pen (if even that, I'd probably just leave it as a pencil sketch).

>abc>fwg!
I watch Jim Lee draw on YouTube and try to be like him. The rough pencil sketch with lots of erasing, finding the right image, straight into inks and the liberal use of white out is awesome.

>>8038076Alphonso Dunn has good ink work. His book and workbook are very helpful
>>8038575Shame he was such a faggot about that book
>>8038076I scan and print my sketches then ink them, takes the pressure off
>>8039464Thy not get a light panel? You can use better paper that way than you can with a printer.
>>8039493Idk I've been using printer paper for years, ain't broke don't fix it I guess (and if it's good enough for Tracy Butler y'know)And I like it better if some of the underdrawing is still visible
>>8038575>>8038588What happened with his book?
>>8040723He accused Jake Parker of plagiarizing his book, when every single book about ink since the early 1900s, including his, has been modeled after Arthur Guptill's book.
>>8040777WowNice digits tho
>>8038303Nice picHow long do you copy, how do you apply it to your own work, and what are some major things to remember abiut paper inking (at least from your experience this far)?
>>8038076I use Sakura microns to ink. And fill in the other inks and color digitally
>>8038575Reminds me of a wojak
>>8038076i first lineart with brush pens (either water based when i'm not using watercolors or water proof ink for when i plan to color with watercolors later) or technical pen and then i fill the black shadows with my synthetic sable point brushes.
