First post Blessed post
>>8040853That robot breast animation was good. Good choice
>>8040861very low voter turnout this time so i took the ones that had 2 votes n compiled em together
Guys what features should a frame by frame video player have besides the basics? All the ones on Android are buggy and thus I can't reliably jump between frames and I can't carry my pc every to use keyframe mP so I have decided to just vibecode my own app to be specialized for my needs.

Whats better CSP or TVpaint
Anyone has any resources about drawing with vectors in open toonz or in general? I've never used vectors before but seems this is the only wayt o make a drawing looks good.
>>8041208Its slow as shit though and every mistake will be way more noticeable
A stupid lil walk cycle I made of Gobline. I would've improved on it more if I had enough time, but I only had an hour to do it. I'll probably work on it more when I get the chance
>>8041352thats a lot of details for one hour, impressive
Wip storyboard from Sept, 9th.
>>8040910i'd say the ability to change video speeds but via frame rates rather than the generic x0.25 x0.5 x0.75 x2 that and manually jumping 1 frame front or backthats about the only eature i'd wanna see>>8041159TVPaint is pretty banginhaven't gotten around to trying CSP yet so wouldn't know>>8041208none that i can recall off the back of my head do post some here if you find any I'll add em to the pasta>>8041352Rotund guy >>8041840gotta respect your dedication to the bit manvery persistent of you
more floaty wizard.
>>8041857What bit?
>have never animated anything before>trying to currently work on a 3:30 minute animation>am a horrible procrastinator and slow at drawing>the protagonist's design has to be relatively detailed because of all his equipmentI have bitten more than I can chew
>>8041859that's looking pretty cool
I kinda know what these are for, I just never found a proper need for them.>>8041840Nice, reminds me of that scene from Weird Science. Hope you get the keyframes done soon. ^^
>>8041890Atlantis vibe. I like it
>>8041919thanks. I really like Mike Mignola's style, plus I thought that keeping everything angular would also help reduce the pain of having to draw a million circles
>>8041890look towards tf2 concept for inspiration on minimizing some of those details my guy>>8041921>reduce the pain of having to draw a million circlesvery smart choice curves are notoriously difficult to maintain looking right in animation
>>8041208I give up, drawing with vectors is hard as shit. What else can I do to make my drawings look smooth? When I try to draw on a raster layer my lines come up a jittery and squiggly.
>>8042142anon-san the quality you describing as "smooth" is just a highrez drawing with anti-aliasingits the merge thing pixels do to obsecure the inherent limitation of square grid screens by reserving ~1-2 pixel threshold around hard color changes with a mix/merge of the two colorsThe higher the resolution of the image the smoother/more seamless the transition from one color to anotheri'd reccommend doubling your current project resolution it should ease some of that jittering also use a brush with anti-aliasing preset but beware it will maket bucket tool coloring a real paini'd reccomend watching the dong chang channel's breakdown of anime compositing.tldr of the japanese method is they use brushes without anti-aliasing and do the coloring in that state. Then they add the anti-aliasing in post via smoothing filters to achieve that finished smooth lookultimately it all comes down to File resolutionhigh rez = more space to obsecure color merge hence crispier lines lower rez = less space hence choppier/jarring lines
>>8040853Oh hey I got featured. Here's the complete one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55jWbkmX3lcAnyway working on another one now. I know most people won't like how I do things, but that's okay.
>>8041902I just looked that up & holy crap there’s parallels!
I also tried doing something with Brusha at one point, her sweater was gonna go flying upward & her bra would've eventually gave out.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fxltBqAtQGjhF6dWIIHZuO_3DM7zVpWk/view
WIP
>>8041890Atp make a 3D model in Blender
>>8041890Seconding the other guy. Unless you really want to dedicate the time finishing learning rigged 2d animation and how to makee and rig a character or 3d animation would be a huge time save
>>8042457This never got animated so if anyone wants feel free to use the idea.
>>8042847no thanks
>>8042673creepy-cute
made this for a friend
>>8042950Aura
>>8042457is that a plant girl
>>8042674>>8042677I may have never animated anything before but I know even less about Blender. What I'm thinking of is using every excuse to avoid having to draw him in full body poses with his full equipment. So, I'll include a bunch of skewed angles, scenes from the past with regular clothes, and also keep the camera away whenever he is sprinting so that the protagonist can both look faster and less detailed. He also broods a lot so I can just draw him standing there doing nothing and it fits his character.
>>8042950now that's epic
>>8042935I FISH FOR THESE COMPLIMENTS
>>8043151Im not gonna claim that Blender is easy, but it's a lot easier than I thought it would be, and with near limitless youtube tutorials as well.

>>8043221this is scratching an itch i didnt know i had,
>>8043288looks promising so far, though it goes from seduction to sex too quickly
I've realized that I absolutely hate doing personal workI hate making my own animations, I hate my ideas, I hate my charactersYet when I join projects I do my best work and draw others styles perfectlyBut right now I'm lacking any project to work on, and it's driving me insane. I want to workHow do I get over this
>>8043371I feel you, have you tried fan animations or doing requests from drawthreads?
>>8043436SOVL
>>8043456Tired + Lazy = SOVL?Good to know
Check it!
>>8043524big spin
This one was too big to post in the thread so you'll have to go to Bluesky..https://bsky.app/profile/voxelvixen69.bsky.social/post/3mvtdj5nrj225

has anyone tried / is using Umoupen?
having a hard time deciding what idea to commit to
>>8044833yes i tried it. this is the result.

https://wizchan.org/lounge/src/1789706660201.mp4My laziest animation yet>>8042950Pretty good, especially the hand smears. ^^
>>8040853>>8040854Hey Kott, I was listening to this song and I had to do your girl dancing to it, of course she dances infinitely better in my head lol, but I had to do a quickie with her. I wanted her to move her sexy ass too, but, it was going to be at least twice the amount of time and effort (even when doing it as simple and crude as this), so her swinging ass will stay in my head xD.Be blessed animation godThings Can Only Get Better (1985):> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCF-lrWbLVU
>>8043565>>8045431>>8045577hell yeah
>>8045577yoou've really helped me break through my artblock
>>8041890This is interesting. If this is your first animation you should probably start with something smaller. Feeling overwhelmed is normal. I have several ideas I will probably never get to. You might want to try and make your big idea a comic first.
bump baby im back to daily poasting
every year I hear about don bluth university and it makes me sad because I love animation so much and I wish I could learn from don but going to his school is like the price of a used car and I know by the time I can afford to go to his school his graduates are probably gonna be teaching it instead
