From an artist's perspective, why did AI settle on this font for its graphic design choices for everything? Does its data show that the brush-like look mimic something more hand-drawn, making it more appealing? It also does the brushy effect with the background of the text too. Stuff like this is everywhere at food stands/trucks/shops these days. They all have the same font/look.

Im not trying to sound like a smartass, but the answer is because of the way it was programmed. Whatever is going on behind the scenes ended up weighing that font more heavily for some reason. We have to remind ourselves that AI can't "think". It does what the codes tells it to.

You see certain styles used a lot because either that's what people want and like, or because there are a lot of people using certain popular models on the default settings.

For example you dont want to use a coprorate minimalist design on FnB business especially when it comes to street food, food truck, and fast food business (except for coffee, tea, and cafe in particular), this is a reductionist and simplified statement but the psychological reason behind this is simply because people come to that place to eat, not to discuss their food; they want something fast and quick but could also grab their attention outside of those gray muted looking corporate environment at the same time. So a heavy-crowded design where graphics, typography, and copywriting are fighting against each other on composition with -relatively- warm set of color palette exist thanks to this situational problem as its solution. This is a basic understanding of design, AI slop can only stop at this particular level to design what their user needs, a deeper one would be to psychoanalyze or even corroborate that knowledge with philosophical reason like food being a basic human needs and there's a correlation between a hungry stomach and their desire to consoome something after being locked inside a cubicle for hours because they are wild animal... now this is the terrirory where AI cant explore without a human guidance, but i wont go into that argument right now, that's an advanced design thinking territory.What you need to know is that you can always categorize design style based on the product and business that they have to offer to consoomer
