Is wanting to become a popular online twittercore artists who lives off their patreon a valid end goal in the first place?

I know it requires drawing what the masses actually want to see instead of what you even like in the first place, but some people are fine just being cogs in the machine as long as they live well off it.
>>
depends
do you want to settle for mediocrity or do you want to try for glory? There isn't much glory in twitterin
>>
Yes. Now start fucking drawing
>>
It is if it's all you do and you cope with the "I'll do this first before doing what I really want" but never actually get to it. Who cares in the end though.

Sure, I guess? I just think it's a more unrealistic goal than others. Because you not only need fans, which requires an abundance of free work, but you need to make work that will only be on your patreon AND a certain type of fan who is willing to pay for that patreon (a much smaller subsection of your fans).
I think you're more likely to succeed by providing an actual product or service, rather than expecting people to just support you by withholding some work.

To me, Patreon should be considered something like a tip jar, rather than how you mainly make your money.
>>
That's my goal, especially if it means I can draw whatever I want, rather than what others ask me to.

Twitter artists are all mediocre hacks inflated by likes; honestly, just draw and stop complaining about other idiots.
