Anyone else see AI stuff flooding art marketplaces? Touristy places like this are now filled with AI art for sale, probably because they get to keep 100% of the profits. They also don't disclose it's AI, is this reportable somehow?

For all the talk about solidarity with artists, there doesn't seem to be any in real life.

Could they not find a cow to just take some photos of? Of you're going to proompt anyway, why not change up the subject?

>For all the talk about solidarity with artists, there doesn't seem to be any in real life.
From the greater public sure, but that doesn't mean the entirety of the public. Also, what do you want them to do? Storm this cafe?... or whatever it is.
Just like how there are AI bros and AI curious on the net, there are such in real life, and the cafe owners are obviously among them. I'd be curious about their sales.

Old people go to those diners so it really doesn't matter.
>>
Stock image websites are to blame. Every website they could have gotten their free wall decoration from has gone all-in on AI. The restaurant owner is most likely completely unaware of what AI is and just grabbed something that was free to use.

You know what? It wasn't better even before AI. Because before AI Pinterest was the problem. And before Pinterest it was Stockphoto being the problem to which I think Stockphoto was a CIA backed campaign to warp reality perception.

Those are being sold, retard, they have price stickers on
>>
Depends on what material the AI art is printed on. No one will pay for something run off of a home printer.
>>
They're selling AI prints at the art shop I get my markers from.
When the cashier tried selling me one I feigned interest and asked if it was Midjourney or other models and she looked disgusted.

But maybe it's just because I'm ugly as fuck and smell bad, all women look at me like that.

Based. Fuck art, accelerate, total artist death
>>
Selling art has always been a push and pull against emerging technologies and mass market trends. Now it's AI slop, but before that it was mass produced chink decoration art that you or I could have pegged in a second as using lazy techniques. I'll give you two guesses what ends up in garage sales and moldy attics and it's not real art made by people who give a shit about the craft.
>>
Why would people here even care? Most artists today, especially here, aren't making real art. You're most likely doing digital stuff for weebs and furries. Possibly worse.

Not so much with β€œart” per se, but I do notice a bunch of samey AI styles in graphic design and advertising now
>>
>>8050397
If anything it tells you that normies are hiveminded drones with 'monkey see monkey doo' mindset
>beep beep ai art looks so perfect looks so good beep
>proceed to put ai generated art to beep beep the frame and beep beep the wall
>this surely will enhance our aesthetic beep beep
>>
>>8050397
Yeah. I went to Aki-Oka Artisan (shopping mall under the train tracks) in japan, and one shop was just full of AI images printed onto shit
>>
the oh so witty funny epic troll is the the op picture is ai generated you fucking buffoons
>>
>>8050563
How does that change anything? You can't sell Ai posters?

It's not idiot, it's a tourist spot in scotland
>>
>>8051187
it comes highly recommended by both the tourists who entered the country

Unfortunately slavery was abolished.

i notice it a lot at faires (renn faires, county fairs, 4th of july). seems to be something that predominantly lower class ethnic traveling merchants seem to peddle. i thought this was a european thing but you see a lot of those folks in the US now.

you have to keep in mind that the target demographic is 45+ year olds who have failing eyesight and are not trained to spot signs of sloppage the way someone who commissions art regularly does.

>>8050580
you knew it was AI slop, she probably knew too and was hoping to get full price from you.

>>8050737
anything made by a human being is "art" in the broadest sense. you are using the "true art" label to dismiss subject matters you don't find interesting, but it's the technique that makes something "real art", not the result.

>>8050537
i think that the "greater public" would be concerned if they were aware. problem is that you're not legally obligated to label something as slop, but if the average consumer knew that their content was being made for waaay cheaper than a real artist, then they would demand a lower price tag even if they were pro-slop or slop-neutral. reducing cost of labor or material and not lowering prices to compensate is the definition of "overcharging"
>>
>>8052804
>problem is that you're not legally obligated to label something as slop
I'm surprised there isn't a effort from the conservative side of politics to ban AI in the arts outright.
If one of the core arguments against immigration is that it's damaging to the culture of the country, then so too should they be concerned about the damage that AI will cause.
>>
>>8052814
Because the people up top never gave a fuck about any of that, it was always about enriching themselves. The people down below who do care about immigration aren't smart enough to think about these things and haven't been given the marching orders from Fox News or Joe Rogan.
>>
>>8050397
Saw it on a chinese restaurant, just the most obviously AI cute chinese girls framed on the wall outside. Tackier than wallpaper. Imagine seeing a displate metal poster in a museum, thats the feeling it gives.
>>
>>8050397
i hate this shit. Idk about the rest of the internet retards but i remember when the aibros were being faggots and saying "break the pencil" and "ai art is superior, it does things better and faster" with cunts 'improving' artists art without permission

and now because of the backlash that they themselves generated (lol), they try to hide their ai slop as real.

they're the bootleg dvd sellers of the modern age but they think their bootlegs should be worth as much as a retail copy of the movie.

for obligatory food analogy, if McDonalds wanted $30 for 2 buns and a paper thin patty like they're some 5 star dining experience
need a metronome meme for aibros
>delusional gloating
>begging for acceptance
>>
>>8052814
i figured that AI slop would become the corn syrup or seed oils of the entertainment industry: it's everywhere because it's cheap, and the average person will consume it, but its mere inclusion is results in negative opinions from consumers and at least some people will go out of their way to avoid it. thus, brands will try their hardest to minimize visibility of slop usage
