why would anyone build like that? how tall is that wall supposed to be, it's 4 steps tall, is it supposed to be a hedge or an interior wall with like 70cm steps?
>>8057805Can you talk about how you did it?
>>8057890i built a negative model using styrofoam and a styrocutter. sealed the edges with tape to prevent leaking and did a classic plastercasting process. aka mix water and cast 1:2 and poured it in. thats basically it.
Pretty dope. Moar
>>8057893...why did you build duplicate molds
>>8057932the styrofoam gets destroyed when freeing the model. its not like blue stuff where it just pops out.
>>8057939it's literally blue stuff, idiot
>>8057946epic bait
>>8057946„blue stuff“ is the term for a sort of thermoplastic plastic if you genuinely shouldnt know. that is just blue styrofoam
>>8057949styrofoam is a thermoplastic, idiot
>>8057954„blue stuff“ is fixed terminology, idiot
>>8057958well I'm glad you fixed it, you sounded like you were really struggling with it
plaster doesn't seem like the best medium for this
>>8057893Hey, thanks for posting this. The negatives are as cool as the positives. Pity you had to damage them to extract the cast pieces. Got any other pieces you've done?
>>8057805pretty small halo map but i could deal with FFA slayer
>>8057986plaster is fine for this. gets heavy tho.>>8057805you can cut theseout of blocks, instead of layers. if you insist on layers, you can sand them after and paint them with gesso for a more uniform surface and easier removal.
