So, let's get it straight, are detailed technical skill-heavy art styles very hard to archieve if you start drawing as an adult (mid to late 20s) and have a full time job?
As someone who wants to make an high tech post-apocalyptic project in the same vein as Nihei works, Final Fantasy VII and Dorohedoro and is more comfortable drawing with semi-realistic proportions compared to standard anime ones, is something like the BOTI art style, or Eden it's an endless world for something not as masterful but still high tier, unreachable for me even if I dedicate my entire free time to drawing and stufying?

I remember someone saying in the thread of someone who wanted to start drawing from scratch at 24/25 that "depends on the style you're aiming for, something like Berserk or Slam Dunk might be too late" and it got me worried.

Hiroaki Samura is literally within 0.0001% of absolute top tier mangaka in terms of drawing skills. Yes it is unachievable for you to reahc his level. Most likely even if you started drawing at 6 years old.

Drawing semi-realistic generally requires more skill because you can't just draw some goofy shit. You have to adhere to the rules of anatomy while still being able to draw good symbolism. That is tough to do consistently especially when you draw comics and always have to make the character look the same from any angle and in any pose imaginable.

Your drawing skills heavily depend on your genes and the amount of work you put into it. You need to be 1 in a million to achieve the level of skills as Hiroaki Samura.

You are probably dysgenic and get aggressive when faced with beauty because it makes you feel inferior.

Nah, I agree with him.

Try your best, but remember to enjoy the process, too. If you only draw to get good enough to do your big project one day, you'll just get sick of it.
