in this condition, how do you make small cubes that are close seem like they are just small close cubes instead of big cubes that are far away?
perspective is just not about sizes and angles and shapeline quality, color, lighting, patterns can indicate whether the object is close or far away
>>8059218The cubes that are farther away have a thinner and lighter outline
have the small cubes overlap the bigger ones
>>8059218If you want the smaller cubes to be in front I would have them overlap the bigger ones and use line weight so the farther cubes would have lighter lines but I am just guessing I am still super new to all this
>>8059218This is a VERY wise question anon and the answer depends on your tools. Though as a general rule of thumb, we look for "levels of divergance" or "Depth of Field" which in literal terms is how much and at what rate two parallel lines diverge. for example if I am the height of one standard Casino Die, that may cover my whole field of view and a single cubic grain of sand might be the size of the a regular size Die to me and thus fit in my palm. the difference between the two cubes from my perspective is the big cube has a large difference in apparent length between the nearest edge and farthest edge, but the grain of sand would have much closer apparent lengths on its sides (remebering that the real length of a cube is always equal, and the apparent length is the illusion of distance.) it's a very tricky question to type and this is leaving out using other visual cues, but remember this. All Art is Illusion. you're gonna have to cheat somthing to make it work and you can only trust your own eyes to answer if it does work or not.

>>8059218you're mainly going to be relying on overlap here, there's also atmospheric perspective where further away objects get lighter in color, but that's a more subtle effect.
>>8059218i think you answered your question yourself: the general disposition of the objects, the full compositional gesture and shape. that and your basic line weight work here
