If you value your sanity dont trust the twoyywr algorithmOpened up Twitter and was instantly shown yet another young prodigy Good for him, I hope the beat for him, but respectfully I dont want to be or be involved with prodigies, for my own well being Does your algorithm fuck you over like that? How do you feel when you see (supposedly) young prodigies make art?
KILL YOURSELF

>it's another episode of complaining about better artists on fucking twitterIs this a bot? Who keeps making these threads?
>find some porn artist>they're good>look at their old art>it was bad>start looking ahead>realize they made like 90% of their improvement within that first yearI'm sure this is inspirational for some, but it becomes ropefuel when you realize that you've been drawing longer than they've been posting on the internet (and probably drawn longer in general), and still aren't as good as they were after their first year of posting.
>>8060576In this case I opened up twotter and the algorithm showed me that front and center As I said, I wish the artist the best, but respectfully I wish I did not see that on my feed, it was like a jumpscare.
I tend to roll my eyes when people throw out their age, as if that's impressive in of itself. Yeah mate, real impressive that you're 19 years old.I suppose it matters more when you're younger? I remember comparing myself to artists when I was a teen and thinking, "I've got to be that good by that age" or some such. I don't care now, though.>>8060664>you realize that you've been drawing longer than they've been posting on the internet (and probably drawn longer in general), and still aren't as good as they were after their first year of posting.Sure, but how much did they draw in that first year compared to how much you draw regularly? Not to mention, that's just what the posted online, much did they not post?Given that everything posted was their best, they must have made a lot of shit. Can you honestly say that you are drawing as much as them?
>>8060561I feel inspired. There is no point in comparing yourself to others. It is inevitable that some people are naturally attuned to drawing due to genetic factors (superior spatial reasoning, superior observation, superior memory, superior visual-motor coordination, cognitive ability, math performance) but this is only a minority of people and not everyone who has "the gift" even gets into drawing. There might be people at your work who would be great artists if they tried, but you wouldn't even know that and you're all the more impressive for getting yourself out there. For most people (from Renaissance artists to critically acclaimed mangaka and Euro-American comic artists), drawing is something that requires hours upon hours of time. Do not mistake the success of children as evidence that "I can't do it!" because children have the luxury of more free time to themselves either drawing for fun or having a tutor/mentor from an early age. László Polgár said that geniuses are made, not born. He found that most genius people all started at a very young age and studied intensively. It is true that you have a disadvantage by starting out as an adult...but you also have advantages. The disadvantages of drawing as a child is that without a tutor, you're more likely to fall into stagnation for years and not grow as fast as you should thanks to falling into bad art habits you probably weren't aware of. But as an adult, you not only have access to online resources (in abundance!) that your child self lacked, but you have the ability to structure your learning so you can make the most of your time rather than waste it.Draw new things. Don't neglect gesture and line quality. Draw from life. Draw from memory. Draw what you love and want to see. Work on what you struggle with. Spend more time looking at your subject than your paper.
Just photobash AI, the algorithm is filled with these and normies can't tell the difference. Just by sheer output, if everyone starts tracing AI these people will simply be drowned out in the algorithm and will be demoralized. Either way, you'll cuck them.
>>8060806I love what you're saying, but ironically is started in my preteens, I only got "serious" in my late teens when I started coming here
There's honestly no point in comparing. He made that piece of art today, and tomorrow he made something that is shit. The only difference between him and you is one drawing. They're one drawing ahead. You learn anatomy, perspective, color, you dedicate time and effort to learning and drawing and trying. You can make a piece that's good if not better.
>>8060798Of course it's impossible to say, but I've been seriously drawing for nearly 20 years at this point, with even some formal education, so unless during that period they drew almost every waking hour, with both hands drawing a different image simultaneously, I have almost assuredly drawn more than them.I've long since accepted that a lot of art comes down to talent and everybody has a different skill ceiling, and that people who are destined to become great typically reach most of their full potential pretty quickly.
>>8060561He is good but that image is disgusting...
>>8060855>I've been seriously drawingAnd how many completed illustrations; not studies, or sketches, or scribbles; did you complete in a year, comparatively to that artist?I don't entirely disagree with (so-called) talent allowing people to pick things up quicker, but I do generally disagree with the idea of a skill ceiling outside of having bad taste, resigning yourself to where you are, or being literally retarded.By maybe I'm just moronically idealistic?
>>80608291 square, the side length is equal to a quarter of the width of that drawing, copy one such square from anywhere in that drawing, if you cant, you are roughly 24 squares behind him. Thats, whew, quite the distance.Either you CAN or you CANT, one drawing might as well be 1000. If you think you are close to getting over that one drawing, you are not.
>>8060890You should kill yourself because your presence is worthless, ragebait at best
>>8060561>I hope the beat for himFreudian
>>8060855I mean this in the nicest way Pyw If you have genuinely been drawing for 20 years then you're probably better than you realise. People tend to be their own worst critic
>>8060561>>young>>prodigyAI slop
>>8060890asking the real questions20 years is the ultimate NGMI permabeg>And how many completed illustrations; not studies, or sketches, or scribbles; did you complete in a year, comparatively to that artist? If he has done all these you mentioned and is still ngmi level that woild be perm levels of the likes of which we have never seen, which I highly doubt so I would like his answer
>>8060916woah! lol
>>8060956Getting b& for larping as a 16 year old prodigy is an interesting move
>>8060956>i is 16bro...
>westoid comics in 2026I feel bad for him. He's over 50 years too late for that. He's 100% asian. They need to lie about their age because drawing is something children do and being a young progidy is the only way to make it as an artist.19 is just an adjustment to Western standards. If it were manga, he would claim to be 11.
>>8060927I think this is AI too, OP is trying to bait everyone.
>>8061008>OP is trying to bait everyonekind of a flub, if so. No one is even talking about the image.
>>8060561It might be because I'm around the same age as him but I'm honestly not impressed.
>>8060915I wasn't being literal for one drawing. He's probably completed 30 more 100 page sketchbooks than me or you. Someone having excessive skill doesn't bother me, because they put the time and effort into it. I didn't.
>>8060878Shut it foid pedo.
By the Grace of God, His Lordship does not commission manuscripts from nubiles, blessed though they may be.
>>8060806Based
>>8060561A prodigy? AI spares no one.
>>8061009The bait isn't "get you to talk about it", it's to slip one by so they can prove that AI is indistinguishable from real art. And if no one can tell, it's their green light to keep spamming with their current process. I'm 99% sure the OP image is AI-genned.
