How do I learn how to draw? Genuinely. I want to improve fast before the year ends, so how do I do it? What study plan?
>>8061322You can start by posting your work nigger.

>>8061325I don't have any finished pieces.
>>8061329He didn't say finished, post a sketchfaggot
>>8061322this is literal and unironic talentcant really 'guts and grit' lmao
>>8061334>>8061334Okay, but be nice. I've been drawing seriously for 2 years so far
>>8061322Step 1. Quit 4chan. You know I’m right.
>>8061339Cool.Go do life drawings.
>>8061339>t. /pro/
>>8061322whats confusing you?
>>8061358Just everything. How do I improve fast?>>8061352I am...>>8061355Haha.
>>8061360>How do I improve fast?work hard and think harder.Any other stupid questions?I will also field non-stupid questions if you have any.
>>8061322Continuous line drawing. Draw lines for a week. Draw shapes for a week. Draw forms for two weeks. Spend more time looking at your reference than your paper. Draw from photographs and do life drawings. Draw with a pencil extensively BEFORE drawing with a pen/marker/paintbrush. Work on a project and get it done even if you suck at certain things. Take note of what you suck at, then study them before creating a new project and then implementing what you've learned. Draw the things you love!for perspective:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzg8-njCIm8&t=2sIf you REALLY want to get better at drawing something quickly:>get two copies: A will be your plain ref, B will be your traced ref>observe A intently for as long as you want>then take B and trace over it (break it down into simple shapes, pay attention to negative space), and take a long while to observe the shapes that compose it>hide both A and B, and draw your ref from memory (try to draw it from various angles too)>take out A and make a copy of it by eyeballing it>compare the results>repeat the process but without B
>>8061363Thank you. I have to go to bed (wagecuck) but I appreciate this. Art is just hard man.
>>8061360>How do I improve fast?Get a mentor.Also draw a lot.
>>8061360>How do I improve fast?id say you dont, but youve already got two years of practice under your belt?i went from a graphic inclination with no real sensibility to keenly getting the basics of drawing things and making good compositions in basically 9 months of weekly life drawing classes. during that time i was totally surrounded by art as well. movies, museums, history books, even theory.so someone can like my drawing or not, but i know what im doing.so thats basically one very much guided year, including weekly drawing from the model sessions and lots of homework during the week.not everyone changes in that kind of time and experience, most likely because of their expectations and aims, ie not not being very observant and not having goals.
>>8061322Playlisthttps://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3CVmSISHmAU3iFwXdUVr2GdBEo1gB-4JYou draw digital? This is the only video you needhttps://youtu.be/vADt7tWT64kDRAW A LOT in this case sketch a lot also if you can with color and learn composition, value and color theory. The only fundamental you need is Gesture and Perspective for perspective do not get too autistic with it just pick one you like and learn it ie. 2-3 pointAnatomy and Figure can follow alongOne more thing is don't forget to draw traditional too using sketchbookDon't get too autistic unless its for targeted study/focused studyGood luck on your journey anon
>>8061360just stick with it and draw lots of stuff, trust me. you'll get better eventually. reference drawing, then from memory right after, then the day after and so forth. do this with everything in existence. it'll only take a lifetime.
>>8061419his bit on composition is terrible
If you type a lot of text attach your work
>>8061419>>8061447its not a good video"how to learn to trace and copy..."there is no content in there
>>8061322>>8061339Grab a pencel and sketchbook and start to learn about value and composition. Drawing in traditional is the fastest way to improve yourself in this expertise.
>>8061322it's all about guts and grit
>>8061339If you’re only here after two years then give up honestly
>>8061339This is fine for 2 years do not listen to the crabs.I was stuck for a long time but found my own style that works, I think your art is really fun and lively and you will make some really good artI will say however, your plan of improving that much in 2.5 months is... not realisticI would say do gestures gestures gesturesIf you really want some tips for good progress it is going to be hard work I hope you are ready for it
>>8061322Most likely progressive overloading. You start light. Then improve on the subject you're working on. Over time for months and years. You can't stop because skill will stall.
>>8061339https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhV89diS6mI
>>8061548And where are you? Post your progress
>>8061610you got me, i was just being a nodraw dick, I apologize
>>8061322>What study plan?kek. join an art class somewhere, I guess?anyway, if you want a "cheat code", do master studies. which is just a nice and validating name for "find a piece of art that you think looks good and copy it". is your copy not good enough? what are the differences? work on those. do it again and again until it looks goodunsurprisingly, if you do that a lot, you will become better at making things that look good
>>8061329>>8061339Always love all these people saying they've been actively drawing for X years only to reveal that they haven't finished a single drawing (aka, they've barely been drawing) then hopelessly wonder why they've seen 0 improvement over years
>>8061614How is it dickish to point out that someone is doing something fruitlessly? Would you tell a deaf person they could become a composer if they just tried really hard?
>>8061650I think that's kinda related to the old ic advice of not polishing turdsbut I do think it's necessary to periodically polish them and push / be aware of your own limits
>>8061663lame. anyone can compose something. creativity comes from unexpected places. respect it.
