> Art needs strict rules.
>Some art styles shouldn't be allowed.
> Overpopulation has caused too much trolling and insulting, so the field's population needs to decrease.
> Encourage giving false advice (e.g., "Copy everything from Scott Robertson").
> Of course, AI also not allowed. They are heretics
>Sketches and practice pieces are not allowed to be posted. Only finished works are allowed.
> Make a "Do Not Draw" list
>do not post if you can't draw wheels

what fucking imaginary world do you live in

I think anyone who unironically uses the phrase "art style" as if it's an actual thing deserves to get kneecapped.
>>
>>8066407
Post your wheels from imagination.
>>
>>8066642
What would you call it?
>>
>>8066669
Well, to be correct, it is a thing, but it isn't in the way anyone uses it. Art has stylization. A particular artist or a piece of media might use certain elements of stylization that encompass a "style". But it's only relevant to a specific piece. Picasso has a style he might use for his paintings, The Simpsons has a style, but "Anime style" or "Calarts style" or "Realism" or "Impressionist" or whatever the fuck isn't a real thing. Those are genres and movements and have far more to do with artistic intentions than what the art looks like. The intention might influence the stylization, but it doesn't at all dictate it. Anime A and Anime B might look superficially similar, but are so for reasons external to being "anime". Labeling it "Anime style" is getting the causation backwards. Overgeneralizing and thinking of individualist expression in terms of label fitting is turboretard /beg/ shit.

I agree.

>anyone pushing "drawing from imagination" as a must-do for /begs/ should be banned
>you are not allowed to draw with a pen, touch paints, or even remotely consider digital art (in that order) until you're pretty damn good with a pencil
>for every drawing you make with photo references, the next two should be life drawings
>all artists MUST know how to animate + have experience with sculpting and photography
>nailing down gesture and line quality is what comes first, not perspective
>meaningful tracing (breaking down refs into simple shapes and forms) should not be considered a taboo
>all artists need to read at least one high-quality book a month, listen to an album every week, and watch one film a day

You could have spent the effort you wasted writing stupid rules for your stupid thread to get better at art.

The final solution for the Jewish race may solve most of the issues plaguing modern society

>>nailing down gesture and line quality is what comes first, not perspective
so extremely wrong. perspective comes first and line quality much later, line quality actually doesn't matter at all if you have your forms right. execute this heretic
>>
>>8066588
the best part is when you're called trash or a pre-beg by people who don't even try to draw, or use AI

Saw this post a few days ago and it made me realize I hadn't watched a movie in a while so I scrolled through the freebies on YouTube and watched 12 Angry Men because I hear the name referenced sometimes. It was incredible so thanks for that. Maybe I'll listen to an album on the bus ride to work too.
People will understandably fight over the other bullet points (I was taught to use a pen before a pencil) but the Evangelion guy used to complain about new mangaka only basing their work on other anime and manga making their work worse and I think he's onto something there.

Also who bitches about using tracing as a tool? Maybe I'm good at filtering retards but I (mostly) only hear about the blatant plagiarism cases.

>picked one of the worst advices in his list of garbage
No successful person watches a movie a day, unless they are in the film business.
>>
>>8066407
With the rise of AI, and art as a whole being threatened, we need to spread the love and joy of drawing to as many people as possible for the continue survival of this act in a hobbiest and vocational sense.
>>

You are who Dermot warns people about.
