How do I even start? Do I need some fancy pencil set? I wanna get good enough to make my own paintings and draw my own OC's.
>>8074378I mean firstly establish what you want to draw them go from there. Draw every day. Draw from life. Find a book or course that suits your needs and draw every drawing in the book. Get very familiar with fundamentals of drawing such as perspective, anatomy (even non human, such as the anatomy of a car), composition, values, etc. Experiment often. Just know you’re in for a long ride so try to make it enjoyable.
>>8074378anon, im gonna be honest, im also a beginner like you, people will phrase what you "need" to do really weirdly like the guy above but basically what worked for me to finally get me off and start drawing is to just look around 4chan or whatever boards you normally use. When some horny loser posts some anime picture or some picture of a woman or whatever you're interested in drawing, and then you just take your drawing pad or whatever and just draw the image/try to copy it. You'll have to draw guidelines and stuff so it's gonna come out total shit and since we're adults it looks like total duducaca to us because our tastes have already been developed. But you'll have to grin and bear it. Once you do your first one, look up tutorials on how to construct a head and a body or some shit and just copy that exactly and use that formula going forward.Also keep in mind im still a total /beg/ginner like you so im just sharing what worked for me, I don't guarantee this will be perfect for you.
