So agriculture in India is mostly feudal still? Reading into it, it seems that debt-trapping and outright stand-over tactics with organized gangs is the norm there.

I've been reading a bit into it and the whole farming industry seems to be a complete clusterfuck. It's perpetually kept de-industralized with government gibs, and yet the farmers themselves on tiny plots are bullied around by regional kingpins that capture the local bureaucrats.

I had no idea agriculture there was so backwards, semi-modern. There's still scythes and manual planting, and outside of the water pumps, dwarf grain variants and fertilizer, it's still functionally like it was hundreds of years ago.

These are the indians you never hear from as well, correct? Rural ones don't have internet access and if you're talking to someone online, it's likely some bored city dweller.

Don't know where you're reading from but agricultural mechanisation is an already established fact, and numbers on agriculture production speak for themselves.
Hooliganism and petty politics is nothing but a direct consequence of the ineptitude shown by these same generational farmers against organised development.
The situation has improved a lot in the past 2 decades. But in such a big country, whose focus is on decentralised development (a situation which is also improving), isolated cases are bound to happen.

The foolhardy behaviour of these same "farmers" and their support of unions( mostly small party offshoots) and communist ideology hasn't helped either.
The decline of agri, tech and industrial productivity in the state of kerala as consequence of the rise of communism, and use of it for land consolidation is a prime example of this.

>Indians you never hear from
Indians whom (You) never hear from.

>No internet access
India has been a case study for rural and urban internet penetration. Again the numbers speak for themselves, as of april 2024, around 95.15% of villages have access to 3G/4G mobile connectivity.

I'm trying to piece this together through muck of the poo in loo deprecation of india, nationalistic modi-shills, and The Economist assglazing about how you're two seconds away from massive economic development and prosperity. Every perspective bullshit for a different reason. I just tried reading up on the structure of farming and was confused by the massive rural population in India and the tiny ass plots of land many are farming. Especially considering agriculture is something that can scale up easily these days with consolidated farms. Some of these plots are as small as 2 acres, which is absurd. Then I dug a bit further and found that there's massive government subsidies in the form of free electricity and other gibs (which makes them wasteful) in return for votes. Literally voting for gibs from the rest of the economy so they can manually plant rice in an unproductive manner.

As for internet penetration, I just wasn't sure. I got the vibes because these people were doing shit so backwards with hand sickles and women manually hand planting like it's the feudal era, there was no fibre optic cables allowing them to harass instawhores for nudes. I have never talked to a jeet farmer online, despite them being like 40% of the population, so I just assumed they weren't posting online yet.

Voterbank appeasement politics is still very strong here, especially amongst farmers and those below the poverty line. To say that its
holding back the country's development would be an understatement. Sadly you can't expect these group of people to vote for long term development,
whether it is because of their economic condition or general retardation is a mystery to me.

In the state of karnataka, the current state government came into power, which I believe was only due to the promise of gibs. And what do you think, the development went right into the gutter.
Electricity, bus tickets and many public services became free for the "poor", paid solely by the actual tax contributing population, in exchange for no development, electricity cuts, and comical financial mismanagement within state departments.

>nationalist modi-shills
That's mostly understandable when most of them have only seen tangible developments, net positive policies and a general reduction in minority appeasement politics under his tenure.

>The Economist assglazing
Unlike the west or the developed east, access to the internet and mass media wasn't gradual but a sudden development. As a consequence of
which most of the population has an infantile view on social and mass media discourse, and can't seem to stand a single fact against themselves.
Which is used to great effectiveness by everone in the spectrum; those against, for and neutral commentators of India. Whether it be for engagement, shitposting or psyops.

Hello /bharat/. Why do you think India has produced so many CEOs of American companies?
>Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft
>Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google
>Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe
>Vimal Kapur, CEO of Honeywell
>Ajay Banga, former CEO of Mastercard
>Indra Nooyi, former CEO of PepsiCo

I don't think that would affect the most important roles in some of the biggest companies in the world. Maybe the Indian-American CEOs just happen to be very good.

Maybe. Maybe not.
>>
>>221740227
Do we really think Satya Nadella and Sundar Pichai were made the CEOs of Microsoft and Google respectively because of affirmative action? They were probably picked because they were thought to be the best candidates, regardless of ethnicity.
>>
>>221740353
no they were picked because jeets are spineless and will do naked backflips on command like the good slave caste they are.

>>221741283
So you think Satya and Sundar were made CEOs of two of the biggest companies in the world just for diversity reasons? "Hey look at us we have brown CEOs so you should buy more of our products?" That seems pretty implausible. Those two guys were probably made CEOs because they happened to be the best candidates for the jobs.
