>japs ride on the short bus
oh no no no
>>
No. He's doing his job which I'm paying for. Thanking people for doing their jobs isn't really necessary or in a sense even appropriate because it dilutes the meaning of thanking. Thanks should only be given when you're truly thankful, not as some pointless custom.
>>
I only do it if it's a rural bus
>>

This. The same applies to raising my hand for a car driver letting me pass on a zebra crossing. He's doing what the law requires, not something praiseworthy

The bus driver or Davos Driver?
>>
>>221737135
when I was taking the bus I would usually thank them until one morning as I was exiting the store where I bought my metrocard, the bus started flooring it 4 minutes before he was supposed to leave. I had to call my dad at 6:15 in the morning to get a ride to work.
>>
Saying thank you to the bus driver feels like fucking performative virtue signaling.
>>
I always clap when we reach a stop safely, and then when I get off i salute the busdriver and thank them for their service.

Yes but only in my hometown since my dad works as a bus driver there and i dont want his driver friends to think im rude
>>
>>221737135
If i get out the front, ye
>>
you're not white if you don't thank the bus driver. a quick cheers mate or a hand gesture doesn't cost you anything.
>>
>got on a bus in Oxford once and said 'Hi you alright?' to the driver
>he replies with 'No I'm not but thanks for asking'
I didn't know what to say so just went to sit down kek.
>>
>>221737135
Usually, yes. Specially when they stop a little outside the bus stop just for me
>>
>>221737135
Like, when you exit the bus? No, I would say goodbye.
If we transact and i give him cash and he gives me my ticket and change I would say thank you like I would any other cashier but I'm pretty sure bus drivers don't handle business like that anymore it's all apps or machines.
Hopefully I will never take another bus in my country ever again, I will exclusively use buses in other countries on vacation.

no, because I'm not poor
>>
>>221737135
I usually both embark and disembark at the back doors since it's generally more efficient than making my way to the front of the vehicle.

Yeah, that hasn't happened in any town here in basically the past two decades
