The state of Oregon outlawed private beaches in 1911, meaning that the entire coast is open to the public, up to the vegetation line above the beach. This is originally because the extreme lack of roads along the coast made the beaches important as highways, but even after a coastal highway was built, the laws remained.

>>221761743No. Most states are full of privately-owned beaches. Texas has a similar law for the Gulf coast, though, with some exceptions.
