Do Jehovah's Witnessses exist in your country? How are they viewed?
>>221761039of course. i don't know, but my protestant dad likes to argue with them whenever they come to the door
>>221761039Annoying and a plague but at least they seem immune to jews
>>221761088I am protestant and they come to my door and I expressed interest because I was curious about their views, but they keep coming back. I don't want to join I like comfy church :(.
>>221761039they exist, but i've never interacted with them. i found out there's a group in the next town over very recently. they've never come to my door or anything. kind of a shame, since i find weird groups like them interesting
>>221761340they don't stop coming back. they always send the same people to our house despite my dad arguing each time
There is a Jehovah's Witness church in my neighborhood. And I have actually met them in person. On the surface, they are ordinary people. However, almost all South Koreans despise Jehovah's Witnesses.
>>221761340Buy a Book of Mormon and start trying to convert them to Mormonism whenever they come. They'll leave.
>>221761858How do I get them to go away? Today they came with a daughter and the man had a wad of cash in his phone case (which was conveniently present as he showed me scripture on his phone). I don't want to be rude, and I am curious to hear their views but I don't believe in their style of Christianity.
>>221762244>How do I get them to go away?“Thanks, but I’m not interested. Have a nice day!”lmao are you autistic?
>>221761039yesthere's a "kingdom hall" near me, which isn't even that oldhow the fuck do they seem to be in every country and how can they afford all their buildings truly a mysterious cult
>>221762360>how can they afford all their buildingsthey build their stuff themselves
Ask them why we're all still alive when there are less than two million people born in 1914 still living and they'll go away
>>221762353but I already spoke to them twice.>>221762360I believe tithe is essential for them. The guy who I spoke to had labourer hands too.
I know they exist and their beliefs, but I’ve literally never seen one
All religious people must die, but the first must be jehova's witnessses. In Sweden, you don't ring a stranger's bell unless you're bleeding out or on fire, and even then it's a social taboo that would probably get you an axe to the head in viking times.
>>221762159kek
>>221762547I don't wish death on anyone anon.
>>221761039>mfw i tell them they are wrong and explain why
>>221761039there is a JW church bot 5 minutes from where I live, I see cars parked there on saturdays/sundays so apparently there are a lot of JWs in my city, they never bothered me, I think it's illegal to prolystherize from door to door in Norway
>>221763129Wow, you would even deny them their reunion with Jehova, their one desire? That's pure evil.
>>221761039yes my uncle married a jehova's witness woman, but they were never separated from my family, in fact they spent a lot of time with us and even invited me to their reunions, they indeed were absent for birthday parties and christmas but they still talked to us and loved us as family, so I don't have bad memories with that organization, I know it's supposed to be some kind of offbrand cult but I never saw it that way, it wasn't that much different from the average citizen's experience with overall christianity
>>221762478Explain
>>221761039Yes and very haughty and obnoxious.I once went into an elevator with two JWs. Pressed the button for 4 and because they didn't press any button I asked if they also wanted to get to the 4th floor. "No, we have a higher calling!" was the response. I'm not kidding.
>>221761039>Do Jehovah's Witnessses exist in your country?Yeah, some of my relatives are Jehovah's Witnesses. Looks like there are roughly 252k of them here in Italy.>How are they viewed? As those annoying assholes who show up at your door at 9 a.m. on a Saturday or Sunday to preach about the Bible and all that crap nobody gives a damn about. On top of that, they have some pretty ridiculous restrictions, like refusing blood transfusions (they'd literally rather die) or not celebrating birthdays. My grandmother for instance because of her religion never once came to any of my birthdays, not even when I was little.
