The Ozempic Age has begun.

What are the side effects of ozempic

Ozempic is pathetic but it’s less pathetic than being fat, it should be mandatory for fatties

More recent data. If everyone who is obese was put on Retatrutide for a year the obesity rate would drop to 1980s levels. We live in crazy times.

Looksmaxxing in general is taking off with zoomers. All the kids I see in my neighborhood are thin and play sports. They need to stay off video games so they don't end up as fucked up as millennials, thankfully there's no good video games anymore so that's not hard to do.

I heard muscle loss for example
>>
>>221771505
weightloss
>>
>>221771913
Weight loss without any drugs causes muscle loss too. You can avoid much of it with exercise and enough protein. It's almost unavoidable to not lose any muscle if you are losing a significant amount of weight in any way.
>>
>>221771521
The body positivity movement always maintained that people were obese because of factors outside their control. Now there's medication that helps removes those factors to become in control. This isn't a contradiction.

>>221771505
Addiction to BBC
>>
>>221771979
how is it unavoidable you could just cut out carbs and get the same effect. because carbs are not satiating, you can eat lots.
>>
>>221771505
snacking companies will lose revenue.
>>
>>221772083
Because when your body is in a caloric deficit it will reduce the size of your muscles because large muscles are very calorically expensive and your body assumes you are starving so it can't afford to have more muscle than necessary. Unless you are roiding out of your mind you will lose some muscle mass while losing weight.
>>
>>221772144
the body doesn't use calories or operate in terms of them though.
i would expect this to apply to unhealthy low fat because that's naturally impossible without undereating, but not when eating a diet that's actually more nourishing in that regard but still causes you to lose fat.

Atrophied heart

More like denied even attempting to do so and tried to push obesity as simply a body type variation of equal merit to any other other, but also superior in oppression scale terms.

The difference is taking a drug is easier. But it's still not foolproof and still threatening/suspect to some in that community I would think.

The point is that somebody involved in resistance training, has healthy dietary habits, etc retains lean mass while dieting. And yes, resistance training and meeting protein requirements minimizes loss of lean mass.

A fat slob has lower quality weight loss (weight being the broad term, not inherently fat loss) and would require drugs as assistance or they will revert to their old self again because they didn't learn to change their eating or exercise habits.

In people who are not eating correctly, significant weight loss while not providing your body with adequate nutrients means that for your body to operate, your body has to pull from existing stores for those nutrients (bone for calcium, muscles and organs for amino acids, etc).

Surprisingly mild for how effective it is. It really does seem like a bit of a miracle drug.

Personally my opinions are mixed. On one hand as a healthy chud with self-control and a decent diet and also gyms regularly, I'm slightly miffed the fatsos get an easy cheat code now. Now I can't tell at a glance if someone is a slob with zero self-control.
But on the other hand I always shit on boomers for having the "if I suffered you should too" mentality when it comes to wageslaving, working long hours, kissing their boss' ass, etc. so I'd be a hypocrite if I was anti-Ozempic.
Sorry for blogposting.

>On one hand as a healthy chud with self-control and a decent diet and also gyms regularly, I'm slightly miffed the fatsos get an easy cheat code now.
Well I wouldn't say it's a cheat code persay since while yes they will lose fat, them losing all that fat while not exercising at all results in >>221771828 most of the time where they still have a bunch of flaps of skinnyfat. I guess it does get rid of the neck fat which in my opinion is the most important part, the skinnyfat all over the stomach and arms and whatnot while unsightly can be covered up with clothes, neck fat is basically impossible to hide and always makes you unsightly in every circumstance.
Anyways what I'm getting at is working out will always produce a significantly better result than just not eating like a lardass (be it from ozyempic or otherwise) with no other effort applied, so I wouldn't feel demoralized over people having a weight loss "cheat code" through it since it's really a faustian bargain at the end of the day.

Sertraline/Depakote/Lorazepam for anxiety/panic attacks (BMI of 29). When I get too fat (BMI of 32) I can get GLP1 shots.

>>
>>221783994
There's very little social pressure for anything in the US since people live so far apart. It's less about willpower and more about making them care at all, most tend to forget just how low the population density is in the US compared to most countries.

>>
>>221783994
You know what I hadn't considered that aspect lol.
I really hadn't looked into through what mechanisms it operates if it just makes you less hungry or influences other hormones that make fat more readily available as a substrate for fuel or what have you, but yeah really clashes with the cope they've had about being genetically predisposed to being fat.

To be perfectly honest, none of us have any way of knowing how intense the sensation starving is for them because our ghrelin isn't fucked.
It's a lot like alcoholism actually.
>>
>>221777293
Anti grit zoomer gymfag is a funny combination lol
You guys should remember that the sensation of starving is just the same hormone as hunger but more intense
Of course fat guys don't want to feel like they're starving for months to please other people, they probably got fat overeating to ignore their hatred of other people same as you lift to obscure it

Muscle wasting, gastroparesis, lower bone density particularly in already susceptible populations like postmenopausal women.

Oh and big one is pancreatitis
>>
>>221785656
you don't have to starve to lost weight. a good calorie deficit will make anyone lose weight, and your hormones adjust accordingly to make you feel normal at that deficit after a couple days. your body isn't stupid, it will not make you feel ravenous when you have 500 pounds of energy in storage to use up

Boomer in his 60s here. Was never thin, but swimming and weight training kept me in good shape. Get married, wife is good cook -> house and two kids take up my time -> get older, things start getting messed up if I lift like I used to -> weigh goes to 230. COVID lock-down + plenty of cheese omelettes weight is now 250. Start having sleep apnea and heart palpitations. Take zepbound (ozempic knockoff) weight is now 210, energy is back, palpitations and sleep apnea gone. Getting old still sucks though, my joints are fucked and I think I tore a tendon in my shoulder.

Would absolutely recommend ozempic to other older people It could add decades to their life and keep them out of a wheelchair.

>>
I lost all my extra weight a good decade ago, so no one will accuse me of being an Ozempic head. Honestly, if I did it without any drugs, anyone can too. All it takes it eating less. Still, it sucks to realize that the 2500 calories or so you actually need isn't a whole lot of food, though.
>>
>>221788720
>how did you find here

I've been online since I was a teenager. From dialup BBS to Usenet to very early internet to now. I was on old 4chan and I still hang around. Arguing with strangers about stupid crap is better than rotting your brain watching TV or getting wound up on manufactured fear mongering crap.

Their overeating is a deeply entrenched habit, usually from childhood. When you've been eating a certain way for decades, it's difficult to change course. Their stomachs are enlarged so they need large amounts of food to feel sated, their circadian release of hunger hormones is near constant, and they can only enjoy food with extreme flavour profiles from high fat or sugar content. Conversely, if hypothetically you have to drop to 50Kg for some reason, or even go up to 90Kg, that could actually be very hard to do if your physiology is habituated to a 70Kg maintenance diet.
